    Clean-slated Bowl Bids

    So here's a question...

Using the editor, has anyone removed every single bowl-bid, and left every bowl at an "At-large"... As is tradition, each BCS Bowl would go to the highest ranked team, with the 2-conference limit... But the rest of the bowls would then be given to equally ranked teams, so #20 would play #21, etc...

Just wondering if anyone has ever done this, and what are your thoughts/results from implementing this?

I tried making all of the bowl bids "generic" once and it just corrupted the file. I assume you can do what you are asking but I just did it wrong. That would be very interesting to see how it would effect the postseason polls, as presumably no one could jump more than two spots.

True, but also conferences cant play one another... E.G. if Florida, LSU, and Georgia are all ranked #12, #13, and #14. Then #12 would have face an oponent from a different conference, probably ranked #15... Etc...

And just to clarify, I have successfully done this in a dynasty, for only one bowl season (so it's possible), but then I changed it back to bid oriented, after the results... No reason in particular, but I only ask the question to see if anyone has had a long-standing dynasty using this format...

This also would pose the idea of complete balance within the conferences... Almost stripping the Power-5 Stigma, and making everything an equal playing field... Would be perfect for people that are into deregulation, promotions, and what not.

You'll have to clarify, I don't know what you're referring to when you say "xml"

bruteforce and the dynasty editor... You have to decrypt your PS3 dynasty file using bruteforce... Then you open it using the Dynasty Editor.xml, but you change your dynasty file to .mc02 because the editor must open that type of file... Then you can edit your dynasty file... change it back from .mc02, then encrypt it with bruteforce... and youre done

I'm with you. The .xml that u use, is a shows the fields u edit.. example first name, last name, jersey number, speed.. etc. I was just wondering if there was another xml out there thst I don't know about.

I've used brute force. I renames the D-IAA teams to real teams like Northern Arizona, Youngstown... and that worked in my online dynasty. Any bowl game changes did NOT stick. But ur doing just offline I'm sure

Something isn't right here... You can't use the editor and implement it in an online dynasty brother... Everything done with the editor is offline only.. Next time I get a chance, I'll make a clean dynasty, and remove every bowl bid, then post a picture of what I'm seeing in my editor...

1503680185635.jpeg this is my online dynasty, not offline. I just renamed D-1AA teams.. imported a few others prior to starting my dynasty, but this particular one I just renamed.

My apologies, but did you edit the roster file with the editor, AND THEN make your online dynasty? Or have you been making consistent edits with the editor on your online DYNASTY file. Because there's a clear difference

Affirmative. But the bowl changes didn't hold
