Re: PA Crossers
Somewhat; depends on the cross play. I can't recall off the top of my head which ones still work relatively well. -

But PA shouldn't be effective on 3rd and long. The only time teams usually run on 3rd and long, is draw plays.Comment

[QUOTE=lasse_foxy;2048996311]Who says it shouldn't be? I've seen some PA plays on 3rd in long irl that moved the chains.Comment

Re: PA Crossers
Honestly haven't dove deep in to the game yet because I'm waiting on the updated rosters, so I'm not sure if it helps; however, are you pass committing? I know last year, it seemed like cover 6 was the best coverage to even try stopping crossing routes.Comment

Re: PA Crossers
[QUOTE=prey2god;2048996586]Of course it happens. The problem is that the defense seems oblivious to down and distance, which results in bad coverage. Nobody should bite hard on PA, on a 3rd and 12. The user can counter this with shading inside to help the crossing route.. The CPU does not. It doesn't adjust to what the player is doing. Simple football, but apparently hard to implement.Comment

Re: PA Crossers
Just to be safe, on 3rd and long, I always set focus to Pass. Granted that doesn't help that the CPU falls for PA on such down and distance.Comment

Re: PA Crossers
Real life teams would use something like "1 jump" coverage to contain crossing routes, but such coverage is not present in the game.Comment
