So, at the risk of getting banned:
I am a huge fan of 2k. Played since 2k10 and absolutely loved MyPlayer.
I couldn't care less about Park or Pro-Am.
Last few 2k titles unfortunately have gone towards catering to the online crowd. In an effort to balance online competitions, I think 2k's been neglecting the fun factor that should be inherent in video games. Lengthening the grind. So many microtransactions. SO MANY MICROTRANSACTIONS. For things that used to be free, like hairstyles.
Won't buy 2k18 this year. Gonna try out the Live demo to see if it's worth buying. And if Live 18 sucks, I still got 2k13 on PC and NBA Street Vol 2. Man, Street is such a blast...that's a sports game that focuses on just having fun.
Again, I'm a huge fan of 2k. I absolutely love creating a player and living out the virtual hoops dream that the real life me has absolutely no chance to otherwise LOL.
So as a fan of 2k, I'm gonna take a stand and not buy the game this year. Might even potentially buy Live 18 if it's fun. Not to take a dump on you guys, but just to show that not everybody appreciates your new policy of micro micro-transactions and setting limitations on the consumer.
Will one person like me not buying this year's product influence 2k? Heck no. You won't care.
But when I tried this year's Prelude and it locks me out of every hairstyle except the worst 5 so I have to drop 1000vc to look decent, I'll pass.
Hope to see you guys next year!
Wish the rest of the OS community getting the game an awesome 2k18 experience!
