So I call my plays in many different ways but sometimes I do go into the coach suggested plays.
I was playing a game today and the New York Giants had a 4th and 3 from around my 45 yard line and I assumed they were going to punt the ball. I went into suggested plays expecting to see punt return but then noticed they were going to come out in FG formation. All of the suggested plays had me lining up in a normal defensive formation. I decided to line up in a 34 or something and I manually dropped the safety back thinking I'll at least have good coverage on a fake FG and since they were attempting an NFL record FG length that I'd drop that safety back towards the endzone and possibly get to a return a missed FG.
Anyway, they ended up running a fake FG and I stopped it. This had me wondering if maybe the suggested play knew they were running a fake?
Later in the same game it was 4th and something from inside the 10 yard line and I went to suggested plays again. I had my lining up under a safe FG formation on defense and listed "Fake FG" at the top under the header.
The opposing team came out in FG formation again and again they tried to fake it.
Has anyone else experienced this in Madden 18? I play under "All Madden" with default sliders in simulation mode. I've noticed the CPU fakes it alot this year but the last thing I want to be able to do is know they are doing it from the suggested play calling;()
