Its that time again guys! Who's excited to start?

To me, the start of myteam each year is always exciting.. then it dies down until you packs come out. Whats every ones strategy? Im gonna tackle domination first. Also im thinking about ripping a few packs and seeing if i can get enough cards for collection rewards that are worth it at the beginning, only to sell the cards later in a week when people have mt to spend.

I think I saw you have to play a bit of each of the modes to unlock the AH, so I'll probably do that first

Had no idea, cool! Do we know who are the early collection unlocks are? I remember last year Saphire Horry and Sprewell lasted a bit, also Ruby Walker was really good early on.

First week hype is real. I'll probably rush unlocking the AH then grinding through all 99 domination games.

Silver (Reward: Unlock access to the Auction House)
- Defeat a team and earn a 3-Star pack in Domination
- Purchase a League Pack with VC or MT
- Earn a Challenge Token
- Complete a Schedule mode game
- Win a Schedule Mode game

If this year is like the last, then getting those early historical cards from domination could be worth a lot of MT.

I agree with Bi00: along with the general goal of going through Domination, one should try to gain access to the AH as soon as possible to suss out what opportunities are there.

I guess one question is: what will be the pre-requisite to be able to play Schedule mode games? My assumption is that one will need to have X number of players from a team to do that team's Schedule mode.

My short term goal is to try to grind/earn auctionable assets as quickly as possible, and sell them off during the initial high point for low cards in the AH. I think that's something like...around the end of the first week of public release?

I'm also wondering/thinking that, to the extent to which one has MT, it might be best to try to buy up some cards in the first weekend and then sell a week or two later.

I really hope for no Equalizer this year...Playing the prelude is such a fresh breath of air because there is consistency to shots falling, if they are open shots. Last year i knew if i hit 2 in a row and im wide open onthe 3rd one im probably gonna miss it. Equalizer in general was horrible.

Yukk this year with salary cap there shouldn't be any equalizer since teams would be balanced. But we won't truly know until we play it.

First things first, im gonna unlock the AH. Then do a bit of domination and schedule to build my team.

Then im gonna start the SuperMax grind.

Just the usual. Run through everyone online and build my team up as I go along lol. I might not get to MyTeam the 1st night though. I'm switching from Xbox to PS4 so I might hit up online ranked to get the controls down and then I'll go into MyCareer and play some matches.

MTO became my main mode last year so now that I know how everything works I'm going to take my time this year.

I've got the game early, thanks to my shop, already grinding domination. Points requirements are lower this year, 500+ for the last games of current domination, which do not award you a player but MT. I can't pinpoint the final domination rewards as of now, because the French translation is a bit dodgy.

As far as collection rewards are concerned, if you complete both historic collections, you get 97 OVR Dirk (Historic West collection), Nets Dr J. (for the east) and the cherry on top is PD 99 OVR Big O.

Damn that's insane. Pd big O sounds nice but that's insane to lock all historic teams.

Once you get access to auction house can you please check what the max buy it now is on the auction search screen?

Are we still getting the same MT bonuses in gameplay, such as +5 for Post Move, +3 for Dunk, +6 for Rebound, etc.?

Oh I see...that's how they're pushing collecting now. If these guys are badged in an elite way, then completing these collections will actually be a big deal.

How are these guys badged? To be really attractive, I would expect them to have ~5 HoF badges and 15+ total badges, not counting personality.

How is badging on Current players? Is it similar to start of last year, when to start with the best Currents in the game only came with like 1 badge?

FYI for those who don't yet have the game, launch day server struggles are real already. Just did my first game of Domination against the Nets, got server down message once it finished.

When you got back to having a connection, did the win/stars register, or did you have to replay?

Not being able to see player stamina level from the on the fly sub menu is the most glaring and very annoying.

Yeah, I hated this in 2K17.

I got Thon Maker and Melo as well as Kyrie (from preordering) in my team, Melo is amazing now they buffed triple threat and post game smoothness.

Did you also get Schroder, Lance Stephenson, and Jared Dudley?

Kyrie was a Free Agent pre-order bonus?
