MyGM issue in the story-mode

This is going to spoil some of the story in MyGM so I'll put the problem in spoiler tags. Read only if you don't mind the spoilers.

There an issue when your owner sells your team and your new owner takes over. When he wants to bring in his son to be your Assistant GM, you're in his office talking to him about it. I've told him I didn't want his son as Asst GM. Then after you leave, a cell phone pops up on your screen with a message, but it's your old owner's name and face in the phone. And the old owner is talking about he's going to bring in his son to be GM anyway even though I decided against it.

Also, when talking to your new owner it says "Former Owner" at the top of his name, which also makes no sense and is incorrect. Thought this might have been a fluke, I restarted it a few times and went through some of the story again. Same issue.

Also the owner wants to relocate to Seattle. Why don't we get an option to relocate or not? I would rather not take the Celtics to that city.

Apparently 2k didn't actually go through this story and TEST it first considering this happens every time I tried to play it.

Wouldn't it make sense that, since you're not the owner, you're not in control of that? That wouldn't be breaking immersion at all as much as it would be facilitating it, as a GM, it is a choice beyond your control.

If it's not what you wanted, that's different.

Yea good point. Although would have been nice for him to atleast ask if I wanted to stay with the team after a relocation.

Is the relocation 100% forced no matter what? If so then this is a really stupid choice by 2K. There are just some teams that it makes zero sense for. I get it if you're playing as say Sacramento where there is a real possibility.

Yes if the owner makes this choice it is out of the hands of a GM, but to move a franchise like Boston, L.A., Chicago, New York etc. is just lazy writing/programming. Realistically there are at most 8 teams in the league that you could make sense moving.

I think that's a glitch, I did not have that happen to me. That's very strange to say the least.

How DO you relocate? I wanted to but it wasn't obvious how.

Once you get to the second season, you are able to relocate as you were last year, so you won't see your relocated team until the third season.

Actually it's not even likely in sacramento since they signed a 30 year deal with the city ��

The only thing that's really forced is the trade behind your back, which I really didn't like. I got kind of lucky because they forced a Marresse Speights trade for Mike Muscala, but I've heard far worse like people being forced into trading Buddy & Skal for D Rose.

Also, another thing to add, there is a draft class built into the first season where the top 5 guys are amazing prospects and I wasn't to fond of everything around that. I much rather prefer having a custom class of the real 2018 prospects, so that's a downside.

Ugh....I hate it when they do this story mode where you have absolutely no way of making your own history. Everything is already pre-planned. It's terrible.
