Just wondering if you still get any advantage by using the right stick for jumpers and free throws.

feels like it. I make more using the stick then using the button that is for sure, especially on free throws.

I don't know, however I prefer using the right stick, it just feels more realistic, to me. So even if there was no advantage I would still use it.

CONFIRMED. Tested this myself...I think its ridiculous that gameplay is favoring one input over the other but that's the world we live in.....

MADE THE SWITCH IN 2K18.

Are you sure? I have to search, but I thought Belbua stated they completely took that out for 2K18.

Positive....maybe its not something punitive vs the button this year--maybe its just that the shot-stick design is more forgiving. But I convert a much higher percentage of my open shots and perimeter shots overall with the shot-stick.

I lost like two in a row and just decided to try it. I know there's a lot of placebo on OS...stuff like "Did 2K stealth patch the game? i'm shooter better/worse" 😂😂 notice I never chime in on those. It's higher percentage...TRUST.

Whenever I try to use this stick this year, the shooter does a hop step jumper that is incredibly hard to time. Anyone having the same issue?

Oh! I guess that would explain it. I've been killing people with my shooting. I use the button in 2K17, because I could never get used to the aiming.

Using the shot stick feels so natural this year.

Or maybe you are simply better at one or the other or your sample size is too small and your preconcetions cloud your judgement.

Have 100 people take a 100 Jumpers with 100 different players using both methods, then we could make that conclusion. Stop confusing "feeling" with "truth". One is based on anecdotal evidence, the other can only be gathered empirically.
