FIFA 18 Teams Custom Tactics Sliders
 

Hi sim fans!


Sliders values are estimated (calculated) using real life stats when available.

English Leagues 1 & 2, Spanish Segunda División and Italian Serie B values where adapted from the default ones.


How to set Custom Tactics:

Positioning (at gameplay sliders): Line Height (H); Line Length (L); Line Width (W) and Full Backs (FB).

ADVANCED SETTINGS:

Add/subtract the following values to the basic CTTs (spredsheets) to simulate some real life teams tactic adjustments.



If playing teams of different leagues, add/subtract the following values to the basic CTTs (spredsheets).

The work was already partially done so I decided to continue it, independently of the actual effect on gameplay. I hope it works as it should.

Does custom tactics even work in FIFA 18 or are they overridden by team styles?

There are mixed opinions about FIFA 18 CTTs effects on gameplay and if the "team styles" are present and independent of CTTs.

I am doing this work so people can test CTTs and give some feedback about it. Are CTTs working? If so, are they working on all teams or just in some (overridden)? If they work, how are they affecting gameplay? Is there a need to make adjustments to the current values and why?

I played with the two best teams from EVERY country/division

example went to brazil and picked two of the best ranked teams

started noticing that the "announcer" started saying something to the effect of "wow you dont see much of this often their using a 4-4-2 formation"

WELL

I noticed that it happened every other match or so.

BUT i got great animations with these matches SOMEHOW

When i played the best English French and German division teams i noticed THEIR formations were moreso 4-3-3 holding

The best animations came from a match against germany's bayern and wolsfburg.

Both teams share the same 4-33 holding

but a brunt of all the teams i tested ALL had "holding as part of their formation

ANY team that didnt have 442 or 433 with holding had wonky errant animations. and by wonky errant animations its those running animations where player pivot at an awkward weird angle as if they HAVE to be somewhere no mater what. WHICH MEANS! They are trying to get to a position! but from whative found FORCING a computer assisted player back into position makes for twitchy gameplay

Sliders might need tactic work too

Let me give you advice, to test the durability of CTT, you should find the best and worst teams to give the rating more supstans. I want to see bad team tactics before I believe anything !. 433 in England, last year 5 out of 20 teams used this formation as standard and in France 7 teams, so it's a generalization that does not last. In Germany, only Bayern and Hoffenheim used it as a different formation!. It will be brain dead only to make team tactics to 4-3-3 or 4-4-2 ?. What about all the other tactacis formation, something EA misunderstood ?.
