Franchise mode issue in Madden going on for years

None of my defensive players can make the pro bowl, due to some weird logic they have in stats.

None of my defensive players stats show up in NFL overall league leader stats, my sacks, INTs, def, tackle for loss nothing all my players are missing.

Due to this error none of my defensive players can make the pro bowl

Ramsey lead the NFL in picks, it only shows in the display screen on the player select but not NFL stats screen, also he was DB of the year but didnt make the pro bowl lol.

This has been going on for years since they moved the what Franchise mode system they are using now and still has not been fixed.

Not sure why he’s not making the pro bowl. But as far as the league defensive stats, I believe it’s initially based on tackles. So if a player doesn’t have enough tackles to make the list, then he won’t be up there for any stats. Same thing happened to me. Garrett had 17 sacks but was no where on the league leader list because he only had 40 tackles. Stinks!

oh ok so thats the logic for making the list, but their is no reason for the DB of the year and NFL leader in INTs to not make the pro bowl, even my 1st season Campbell had 16 sacks didnt make the pro bowl and Church was top 4 DB didnt make the pro bowl

Yeah. I agree. Miles made the pro bowl for me and d lineman of the year. So I don’t understand why your guy didn’t.

Last season (2nd season CFM offline)Blake Bortles was 8-8, 20 TDs, 18 ints, 2887 yds and was NFL MVP. 7 QBs had better stats, better records but Bortles was MVP? If there is any logic behind who makes teh pro bowl, I cant figure it out. Also 8 of my offensive linemen made the pro bowl that year, the only reason the 9th guy didnt was because he was injured at the end of the year.

This usually (only?) happens to defensive players. They do show up in the Conference stats, and one would think those stats, not the entire NFL's stats, is what Pro Bowl selection is based on. But maybe not. My defensive players make the Pro Bowl, but maybe not as regularly as my offensive players, partly because playing out the games results in fewer tackles and other counting stats (so many incompletions) than simulated games. Sacks and interceptions may exceptions to this.

They do base if off the ENTIRE NFL's stats, even though they DO NOT show up for the entire NFL stats.

Example: Robert Alford led the league with 11 interceptions 1 year in my CFM, he wasn't shown under the entire NFL league's stats, but he was a Pro Bowl CB.

It's laughable that Madden can't properly display a simplistic statistic at this point, however I honestly believe that - even though the stats aren't displayed properly, they do still factor into Pro Bowl consideration. They have in my experiences at least.

Another problem that I'm not sure if anyone has ever clarified is:

We have absolutely no idea how Pro Bowl players are picked.

Is there a formula that takes multiple aspects into consideration or is it just strictly based off statistics?

That's exactly the point I was trying to make. A player may not show up in the entire NFL stats but he will in the Conference stats. If he leads the Conference in sacks, as the Conference listing indicates, then he will likely be selected for the Pro Bowl (even though he was not listed in "ENTIRE NFL's stats.")

One wonders, with all the very arcade-like player accomplishments being tossed around in this thread, whether or not the Pro Bowl selection algorithm docks you for spamming stats.

So the a player(let's say my DE) has to have a certain amount of tackles in order for him to show up on the NFL sack leader board?......smh EA Sports......Smh.....

But a qb that threw 4 passes will show up leading the league in qbr and completion percentages. Not even meeting 1984 standards.

Makes ABSOLUTELY ZERO sense my friend.........just like historical season stats aren't kept.....If it's 2022 and I'm playing the Panthers in the super bowl, I'd love some historical data that states the Panthers have been to 2 super bowl previously(2003 and 2015) I'd love to know who led the NFL in rushing in the 2020 season if I'm in the 2021 season.

It certainly could, we know nothing lol. I wish I knew if there was an algorithm that determines Pro Bowl players and if so, what this algorithm's formula is for each respective position.
