    Madden 18 Rookie Contracts

I'm in a 25 User Madden CFM league this year. Its been a ton of fun. The group chose competitive mode which eliminated injuries this year.

So playing with the rules, I started trading all my backups to CPU teams.

Going into our next offseason, I have 5 1st round picks and 1 2nd round pick.

We did a fantasy draft of the full roster so I have around 56 mil in cap space.

I started thinking, where can I find what the standard contract is for a 1st pick is so that I don't overspend in Free Agency?

Thanks in Advance to anyone who can help me plan properly.

Anyway, just google NFL rookie's actual salaries lol? Or even check, you know, what the salaries are for the player's in the game ..

That's part of the difficulty. We did a full fantasy draft of the entire rosters, so all contracts are done based on how Madden set that up, not real life contracts.

You don't need to worry about it, the cpu will set aside whatever amount of cap space you need for your draft picks. For example, if you have 30 million in cap space, and your picks will cost 10 million to sign, it will only let you spend 20 million on free agents

Either go back and give everyone their real life salaries

          or

Give them a rookie contract salary based on their draft position.

For example: Whoever got picked 1st overall would get the same contract at Myles Garrett. Whoever got picked 26th overall would get the same contract as Takkarist McKinley etc.

Just make a new CFM and test it out. Sim all the way through the fantasy draft, the first season and the draft. Then, before you advance to week 1 of the preseason in 2018, go to draft recap and you can see the salaries for every player drafted on your team and on every other team. This will give you a good idea.Be careful doing that too many times or you'll be out of cap space quick. 1st rounders take up a ton of cap space.

P.S. It's surprising your league allows CPU trades for exactly that reason... That's a pretty messed up way to get picks.
