    Question about defensive ends

I noticed when i take defensive end and jump the snap my de hesitates and does a stutter step. Is that lag or are they supposed to do that before they engage the offensive lineman ?

It's by design for some reason. Jumping the snap does nothing anymore

IIRC they implemented this feature in Madden 17 so folks wouldn't be able to nano-blitz. The same thing also happened if you called a blitz and hot routed or usered your DEs and the blizer with a clean shot at the QB would hit some sort of an invisible wall and act the way you described.

Not to hijack your post but how do you do a swim move from the defensive end position? I can only seem to do a spin move even though I have both traits

Remove spin move. That is the only solution I have seen.
