How often do you hit post fade shots?

I'm thinking it's me from raging, but I can't seem to hit post fade shots. My post fade is maxed at 86. I'm using the 6th animation and even when my release is good I still miss numerous times.

I dont play My Player, or online, so I can just answer this by just playing with actual NBA players, and I hit a descent % of post fade shots. I basically just use the Pacers, so Im doing it usually with Miles Turner.

I never use it but the guys who hit me with it effectively usually hit me with the shoulder first to cause separation. Or fake a spin move to get me to sag off in anticipation. If they just try to pull it off in standard post position with no foreplay, I’m usually right in their grill on the fade and they brick.

Exactly... Got to move the defense.

I have a question for the OP. What is the players shot close rating?

You need to create some separation this year before going into your fade animation otherwise it's going to register as lightly contested, at best, and you're going to miss most of those unless you're hot. I can green lightly contested fades while hot but they'll miss when I'm just at normal temperature. The shot coverage has to be open or wide open for me to hit fades consistently without being hot.

I dont play my career but I hit them at a good rate. I do use guys that are proficient at them... I can make a living off the mid-range with Derozen... The fake to create separation is key. Make sure you are proficient in the area that you are shooting them at.

                80% of the time.

I rarely use the fade, but if I'm unable to consistently back down or spin/drop step my guy, I'll switch up the game plan and try and utilize the fade/hit mid range shots to counter their defense.

I've rarely missed any fades on my shot creating post scorer.

Re: How often do you hit post fade shots?

I'm a Pro-Am person and in general, I hit them at a fairly realistic rate. Its really easy for people to contest the fade. Sometimes they don't even have to be in a realistically threatening position to get a heavy contest and often they will accidentally put themselves in your face right off the turn if you have a habit of forcing them to constantly fight off the back down. It took me a little bit to accept the reality you have to do something to get the defender off balance/not looking out for it or else you aren't going to be successful. So I try to diversify my attack and try to mix people up with shimmies and shoulder fakes. Post fades are my last option.

for an average post fader, at a regular rate. for someone like kobe or mj, not enough.

Enough that I'm not scared to use it.
