Re: Is every MyGM story the same? son takes over?
I think so.
SpoilerI dunno how to get to it since I got ticked off trying to finish the story, but there's a way to stay in the city you're originally in. It depends on the options you choose during the storyDubs, Niners, Giants -

There is only one forced trade, and you don’t really relocate. The deal gets done to relocate but the original owner buys the team back before you actually relocate then everything goes back to normal basically in year 2.Comment

SpoilerYou absolutely do relocate if you make decisions that supports it. You relocate to Seattle and become the Sonics with the mid 90s Sonics branding/uniform if you keep the new owner.
The annoying thing is they wear the short short uniformsLast edited by dwayne12345; 11-03-2017, 10:25 AM.Comment

Re: Is every MyGM story the same? son takes over?
Yeah really dumb how its the same story for every team. They should have a bunch of pre-built scenarios and depending on your owner/team it randomly generates scenarios and your choices can help push them in one direction or the other.
SpoilerI've done the Suns and the Jazz. They forced trades for Joffrey Lauvergne and Willy Hernangomez. Usually those players are untouchable.
Tip: don't offer anything for them then they will force a trade with a bench player for them. Old owner bought back the team before relocating. Really wish it was different at least 1/3 of the times you start up a team.Comment

I dont like the story mode, personally, but I agree, if your going to do it, there should some variety.Everyone who exalts themselves will be humbled, and he who humbles himself will be exalted- Luke14-11

Re: Is every MyGM story the same? son takes over?
In what world does the Lakers trade Brandon Ingram for Willy Hermangoz? And I can’t get my player back even after the team is bought back? I spent a month playing each game just for a forced trade to kill my mGM? Hate it.Comment

Best part of the story for me was getting to fire the owner's son!Comment

In the second season does it revert back to last years goal system? You know, where the owner has a few demands and requests? I liked this part but if it got the axe then I will just stick to myleagueNobody exists on purpose, nobody belongs anywhere, everybody is gonna die, come watch TV.- MortyComment

Re: Is every MyGM story the same? son takes over?
Only the first year is different. If you don’t want to go to Seattle, support the previous owner in his buyback conversations, say you’ll stay as gm. As soon as you know who the forced trade is, acquire someone expendable at same position as trade bait do you don’t lose anyone you want to keep.
There’s an easy script to follow, but yeah, it SUCKS. After all their bragging about how they are committed to franchise mode...well, at least it’s not as bad as Madden CFM.
From here on out, all franchise modes are competing for the title of tallest midget in the room.
