The usual chatter about Gruden returning, remains to be seen if there's anything series.
He informally met w/ the Raiders prior to their Christmas game he commentated and there's been a lot of noise from the Raiders press about it the last 48 hours.
That will only increase now that Del Rio has been fired.Comment

Adam Schefter reported this evening with "100% certainty" Jon Gruden will be the next coach of the Raiders. He didn't cite a source, however, and based it on the fact that they wouldn't fire Del Rio unless they were certain they could get Gruden."People ask me what I do in winter when there's no baseball. Typical Raiders. Del Rio had a 12-4 season last year. One sub par year and he’s fired. All because they want a coach who won a Super Bowl with Tony Dungy’s players.
Meanwhile, Hue Jackson has one win in two years and still has a job. Lol
If the Raiders don’t want Del Rio, I wish the Bengals would take him.

As expected, John Fox is out in Chicago and Jim Caldwell is out in Detroit. According to those in the know it sounds like Matt Patricia is the main target for the Lions. Out of all of Bellichick's assistants through the years I think he's got the best potential to be successful as a head coach. He's got a demeanor to him that I think could work. It's expected that Jim Bob Cooter and the rest of the Lions offensive staff will stay in place no matter who's hired as the HC there.Member of the Official OS Bills Backers Club
