Wonder where the Raiders would be today, had they got the ball in the AFC Championship "tuck rule" game.

The rumor mill suggests that he wants John Morton from the Jets as his OC, if that helps.

I'd have to think that this time around, there would be lost more gun and lots less 21 personnel. The Raiders did do some weird stuff by refusing to use a FB, especially when they had Marcel Reece and when they have Olawale. Perhaps Gruden introduces more of that into the mix.

I know he was committed to the Walsh-tree WCO passing concepts and to power run concepts back in the day, but I'd have to think that with a QB like Carr, who thrived in Musgrave's vertical schemes, Gruden would have more vertical concepts this go around. I'm not sure if he'd still use power as a staple, or if he'd transition to ZBS, but given the size the OAK line, and give the complaints we got about doing more outside zone running this year, a ZBS doesn't seem the most likely scenario, but who knows.

It's also rumored that the D Coordinator from CIN is a target. He's from the Zimmer school.

I was reading that myself about the JETS OC may be picked up by Gruden. I went ahead and made a custom jets playbook with west coast in mind. I put in lots of power runs. As for other PB's Washington is the closest I found what he ran like his brother. This will make me want 19 If everything goes thru.

And now it looks like the Geuden hire is imminent, but the rumor on the OC is now Greg Olson from the Rams, who used to be our OC. He was a Coryell and power run type from what I’ve been reading. I’d have preferred Morton.

It will be cool to see Gruden back in Silver and Black.

Well that throws a whole new outlook in the mix. The Rams playbook is a west coast playbook on 18 and actually pretty good as I have played with it. I been studying the WC for the last two weeks since I read Gruden was coming back. I loved watching his coaching highlights
