Re: What if there was an NFL 2k19 Coming What would you expect??
I would expect a completely bare bones franchise mode, decent My Team and MyCareer modes. I wouldn’t expect sales to be great at all, even at a lower cost to Madden. So exactly what NBA Live turned out to be this year pretty much.

I would expect that they would be sued out of business for violating the exclusive contract rights of EA Sports.Originally posted by Therebelyell626I am going to create a team called "the happy town fundament rapscallions" and hurt your already diminishing image

I expect it would be at least a year or two in development, otherwise it would take 2 or 3 years to really work out the kinks.
After that point, I don't expect I'd ever buy Madden ever again.
.. if all they did was port rosters into 2k5, I'd buy it.You want free speech?

In my opinion, 2K sports has always handled sporting games well. I wish they would handle NFL games. Madden just seems to put the bare minimum effort. 2K is always so much more detailed. Especially with their stats.Comment

I would expect that Hell had frozen over. I've given up on the hope of ever seeing another NFL game not named Madden. I also gave up on Madden, so my only football is coming from past releases or things like Mutant League Football.
Sports gaming is in a serious dark age right now. That includes wrestling for me.Comment

I'd expect a fully fleshed out version of First Person Football via today's VR technology (something VC didn't have at their disposal 14-15 years ago) with current-gen graphics, etc. Time has finally caught up with their innovation.Comment

Just pine for an XFL 2K20.
Update the graphics, put out a 2K8 with minimal gameplay changes other than a legitimate franchise mode that is better than Madden (Not that hard), and build from that.Comment

the biggest mistake 2k did was make APF2k8 without a franchise mode and full editing capabilities.Comment

I'd only buy a XFL 2K20 game is if they included the teams from the first incarnation. If they only had the new teams I wouldnt be interested.Last Movie Watched: Morbius (2022).
Last TV Show Watched: MARVEL's What If?...(S3:E7).

I think they would need to be the first sports game that is a subscription based service. 7 bucks a month or yearly for 60 bucks. Constant updates and patches. No more of this yearly releases, it is hurting sports games today. Major updates to the game come every two to three years. Give the dev teams time to really work on ideas instead of rushing them out by a set deadlines.Comment

Re: What if there was an NFL 2k19 Coming What would you expect??
I think that ship has sailed. Every year after its 2007 release there has been a constant undercurrent of support and demand for the game, and yet 2K has done nothing about it. Obviously there were missteps in the first game like including OJ Simpson, using legends that impeded or gave them an excuse not to put a franchise mode in, and the inexcusable lack of a player editor.
Out of their control was the Madden machine which might have been formidable even without its acquisition of the NFL licence. That Madden machine includes gamers around the country who like that franchise. Bottom line 2K didn't do the hard thing by sticking it out and refining the game year by year if necessary.Comment
