Some opinions on 2K versions?

I want to pick up a 360 2K game for the Classic teams. Is there one that you might recommend over others? I'm leaning towards 2K6 on 360 because of molifox's great 2017-18 roster updates. But was there one that was significantly better gameplay-wise? Just looking for personal opinions because I honestly don't remember them all and I sadly no longer have them to try one by one.

NHL 2K8, hands down. TS and I had a roster with all the classic teams named etc. Everyone of them LOL.
