    Clinch Fake Takedown Exploit

Why are my opponents able to shoot and give up on the takedown to get out of the clinch? You can't even attempt the submission reversal as it doesn't allow you to get it they just get a clean break out of the clinch.

Not only that but you also can't even get the takedown reversal animation either - just a clean break.

I understand that EA and the UFC want this game to remain standing at all times (that's apparent). This is just ridiculous though.

People also do this during rocks (more risky) but they are able to avoid nearly every punch except the uppercut by doing this.

I started to notice this happening a lot a few days ago. Everyone in ranked is starting to do this the minute you put them into the clinch. All there doing is faking the single leg takedown then getting out of the clinch with ease.

I have been doing this to get out of the clinch since UFC 2.

It's not ideal but it is a good way to get out from clinch spammers if you miss the denial.

I will say that you can deny and or reverse but the denial almost has to be put in pre-emptivley.

        Clinch spammers? Lol

You can't spam the clinch in this game - heck you can rarely get it.

This is an exploit and needs fixed.

this has been in since ea ufc 2, but im not sure how they would fix it, maybe force them into a sprawl position?

Sprawl, allow me to do the submission reversal or takedown reversal.

            Extremely easy fix

I dunno why you're making out like the grappling is underpowered in this game. I haven't noticed that myself. A lot of the top guys grapple.

What? I'm talking about the clinch and my opponent using a blatant exploit to escape it.

Grappling is nearly a non-existent aspect of this game as it stands.

Is there still a reversal from a takedown to a clinch postion, like from a takedown to a double under cllnch.

Exactly but you can't go to it. You can't do any of those reversals when someone does this online is my point.

Aw okay, i was meaning instead of forcing a sprawl situaton, it would depend on what way you block.

Ik but in general your comments reflect that stance. Double legs are fast. I haven't noticed the clinch being impossible to get.

Maybe it's partly Big Nog's stats? lol

What exactly is the problem with the grappling? Like the double leg is really fast. I feel like straight takedowns are easier to get in this game than they were in UFC 2 in a way. Other than the fact that you can't do the GA stuff by leaning back.

lmao at grappling being underpowered and underutilized. When the relaxed guy takes a break from using the takedown to side control elbow exploit he's laying on you all round because it's very hard to get up when someone is throwing baby punches from guard.

Takedowns are NOT hard to get. Use the takedown to full guard. It will land almost every time if you have GA. You can clinch very fast with some fighters as well. Some do the slow hugging motion but players like Khabib have super fast entries.

Well I dunno if what he’s referring to is a true exploit or not.

Is it possible to react fast enough to a TD fake out of the clinch?

Oh my goodness do you guys understand what I'm saying?

A guy can fake a single or double and get a free pass out of the clinch whenever he wants even if you deny he just gets pushed away. Even if you try to time the reversal it just pushes him away.

                              That

                              Is

                              Not

                              Okay
