Got tired of the player court/size ratio so I shrank the players

This is for offline players

All across the board 3 inches shorter.

There is no noticeable difference between what you saw before concerning heights between player sizes meaning.

Brook Lopez still looks like a giant compared to Isaiah Thomas who looks real small as he should in context.

Shrinking player sizes also reduces width of the player models.

Its a subtle but noticeable difference, especially at different angles, and the court feels better.

Of course i use my own sliders for speed an movement because IMO that's the biggest issue next to player sizes.

I may post the roster (regular 2k official roster) but if you guys want to give it a try, I encourage you to go ahead and do so.

Took the vertical down to around 35 too because i feel like the big players already jumped too high and makes it feel more like they're reaching up towards the rim rather than already being up there if you get what i mean.


Took mine down 4 inches personally.....

Give it a try, it helps.

Just interested in you guys' thoughts.

I only did like 5 or 6 teams last night. I did this before to test but had no time... still don't and am currently testing but you're welcome to give it a shot for some feedback on here.

You know you can mass edit heights right? So you don’t have to go through every team and every player doing it individually.

What about wingspan? I find the wingspan is exaggerated and leads to player models covering a larger radius than appropriate or realistic.

I know there is an across the board editor but didn't know you could do player height as well.

Are you certain of this?

I promise you guys should give it a try. Ill put the edited roster up if you're willing to give it a shot.

Ive seen this dude from okc doing standing dunks and he is an SF jeremy grant in real life he made some vicious plays under th3 basket something i was really missing in the latest 2k versions .

Even some bigs are way too spft around the rim where in real life they sometimes smash that ball hard !!

If you lower the vertical to 35 and lower height im afraid its going to be a soft game around the rim especially those with standing dunks and verticals to perform some vicious plays under the rim ...

Just note that height is part of the formula for the overall rating.

The roster... it's called SHORTS

Taking everyone down 3 clicks reduced some of the ratings by 1 so it's not anything significant.

The thing to remember here is that everyone got the same edit equally so no advantages changed as a result of this.

Thanks for the tip EZ Madden... I went ahead and did every team on the roster.

Good idea, 2k needs to work on the dimensions of the court and just the overall dimensions of the world that this game is ran in, i watched a point guard block a dunk by vince carter just by coming over and sticking his hand up, not jumping at all, that shouldn't happen. Also people going up for 2 handed dunks but being blocked blatantly with the defender flying almost over them.

Yeah its scaled but that doesn't mean certain things are translating to the game as well as it should IMO.

I mean its okay, im not saying its trash, but it could always be better.

I remember on PC those guys would always slim down the player models with mods..

I'm happy to see you have the same idea like me. I have ever tried to shrink the players in November. I'm glad to see i do not feel so lonely to believe that the ratio is an arcade one and i have been saying for many years.
I already thought it for 2k11 but it was less important than on current gen.
Watch this 2 photos guys, you will see how i discovered it. Nobody can say i'm wrong. You have to watch the left nostril to see that it is not at the same place.
