Badges ideas for post hooks and fades in 2K19

If 2K won't add fades and hook badges again, they at least could make midrange deadeaye an auxiliary badge to post fades (and increase it from bronze to gold for post scorers). It's frustrating how the A.I. can close out on that shot and "contest it" without any badge to help the player. Additionally, Post hooks should be governed by relentless finisher. A hook is almost always contested and you need some badge to help about it. Hooks are too unreliable without a badge this year. If a tear drop or a charge have a badge, why hooks and fades don't? It doesn't make any sense.

I like playing on the post and it’s frustrating that Hook shots are bad this year I miss most of them. Fadeaways are hard to make also.Wish it was more like when 2k16 had it

Inb4 jeebs comes in and tells everyone the hooks and fades were OP in previous iterations so the balance is they don't work at all this year.

i'm all for bringing hook and fade badges back, even if only for offline sim.

Actually never said that..... hooks and fades were weak in in 16 and 17. This year I actually hit open hooks and fade aways. It's just the open part that everyone is missing.

I think you were the one that wanted to hit contested one like Dirk did in 2011. Right? I can't remember

You guys who want this stuff for My player right?.... Most of these threads is about my player lol

Crazy, almost like it is one of the more popular modes.

I don’t try a lot of hooks but fades are mostly reliant on you creating some space, a badge to help post heavy players when they get lightly contested wouldn’t be the worst thing.

Definitely wouldn't hurt. I'd like it too.

My Jab wasn't towards my players users or you. It's just that when everyone is a human player in Park. It turns the game upside down. No matter what.

It's like this thread has been posted like 3 times now. But instead of bumping the old thread. People keep making new ones. Can you see why I'm little annoyed? Lol

I thought that 2k17 had it pretty good with the hook shots and fadeaways, if it was online a user could contest and make it miss, or if it would still go in depending on the rating of the offensive player, offline i know it was easy to green certain animations, but for the most part i thought that 2k17 had it fine, 2k18 just calls for alot of space for them to be effective, which for the post part relies on the animation you get, which is really not ideal.

Why is that a problem? We have guys routinely hitting deep threes like Curry but better, builds that make Shaq look like a pipsqueak, dunkers that put Kemp to shame. Why not post faders like Dirk?

I was trying to point out something like this a while back, shooters can get theirs by shooting off screens, doing dribble moves to get shots and just standing behind the line waiting to be open, slashing type players can get theirs by dunking and drawing fouls going to the rim, most builds are able to really thrive, but online for the most part i see the post builds really struggling, the contesting system makes most they're shots ineffective, and the fact a defender can clip through them to 1. move back into position in and around the rim, and 2. block they're shot with no foul.

I guess no lesson was learned here.

There are 4 thread on this very subject. I'm good guys.

Thanks, maybe next year. You'll get exactly what you want.

Honestly the best way to combat this is to just put the hook shot timing back to being visible again. That way people can get good at the game and do the moves they want to do for realism sake.

Which is why, as annoying as 2k17 was as far as the post game went, if they put in the effort to green everything (And trust me, it wasn't that easy) then they deserved it because they put in the work to be that good.

Were just trying to debate here, thats what 80% of these threads on this site are about, even if its repetitive, just admit to yourself its one of the reasons you come on here.
