OOTP 19 Franchise Progress

Thought I'd Make this thread for everyone to update their Franchise News in. With the addition of the 3d animations this year, hopefully more players get on board and buy this game. Would love to see more action in this forum! With that said let's hear how everyone's franchise is going!

So far been off to a lackluster start with the Cubs. 2-3 after 5 gms. Lost the last one to the 0-3 Reds. Schwarber has been a beast, 4hr's 9rbi so far. Starters have been terrible but my pen is really good. How things look so far....

Re: OOTP 19 Franchise Progress

So, I need to go download this now...

After I do, the plan is for a 2018 Oakland A's run as a demented Billy Beane and try to get myself fired (not too overtly, but I won't allow myself to optimize my deals and barter with the shop player results). Then expand by 2 teams (have to decide what markets for expansion), take over 1 and try to be GM 4 lyfe!

Second plan is to do a 2018 Cubs run and try to milk this open window for all it's worth. lol. Make some real nice contend+build up farm moves.

Then, much later this summer, will be the fictional league to end all fictional leagues...

Re: OOTP 19 Franchise Progress

The 1918 season started off great for the Philadelphia Athletics. Beat Boston and Babe Ruth in game 1 by making him throw strikes. I blew the game open in the 9th scoring 8 runs (2 off Ruth) to win 11-3. I spent way too much time looking at the league, and players, so I ended up killing any chance that I had to manage more than one game.

My Yankees are 16-5, first in the division. We started 6-0. Stanton already has 9 homers and is hitting .326 despite dealing with a strained back. Judge is struggling (.219) but he has 7 homers. My man Gardy is hitting .359, Neil Walker (starting 2B) is hitting .304 and Brandon Drury is hitting .377 which is a very pleasant surprise. We're first in RS and RA, 1st in homers and 1st in defensive efficiency.

It's not all good news. On 4/19, CC Sabathia went down with a damaged elbow ligament and he's done for the year. He might retire given that it's a 12-13 month recovery time. We called up youngster Chance Adams to take his place.

Won over 100 games in my first year with the Yankees, Stanton mashed 52 HR's with 122 RBI's

Judge had a "down" season with only 44 bombs. Signed Neil Walker to an extension for 4 years 68 Mill. Severino, Tanaka, Gray and Sabathia had fantastic seasons.

Lost to the Indians in the LCS 4-1 because of lackluster pitching. Might move Sabathia to the bullpen next season and try to shore up the rotation.

Signed Manny Machado in the off-season to complete the super team!

Judge
Stanton
Machado
Walker
Bird
Sanchez
Grigorious

Now to get some pitching! Might have to trade some prospects and backups for some available arms.

The Red Sox got ahold of Bryce Harper in the off-season so it's going to be a tough division battle at the top.

Can we also talk about the Mets signing Clayton Kershaw!?

Kershaw
Syndergard
Matz

Good lord what a rotation. I love this game
