Anybody else get an e-mail from EA re: NCAA 14 XBox 360

I got this today, and it has me pretty curious about what is going on with this game.

We’re reaching out because we know that you like to play NCAA 2014 Retail XBox 360. We’re making some seamless updates to some of our games, and it requires a small action from you.

Please click here to ensure it is really you playing the game.

Starting 2018-03-19, you’ll need to log into NCAA 2014 Retail XBox 360 within 120 days or you may get an error message that will stop you from getting into the game. This is to make sure it’s really you trying to get back into the game.

If you do not login for 120 days, you can still get back in the game. Look in your email inbox for an email with the subject line "Reactivate your access to NCAA 2014 Retail XBox 360". Confirm that you were trying to get back in the game in that email, and you’ll be good to go.

Having trouble? Reach out to us at help.ea.com.

    Happy gaming,
    The EA Team
I don't know if this is a security issue or something else.

Besides yourself, this is the only thing I can find about it:

That explains it pretty well. I think he already filled out their survey. Sounds very interesting.

i would be careful with the URL, this email looks like a phishing scheme - to put it lightly,

i had something like 400 hours last year and well i didn't get this, but i think only my friends can see my online status

Yeah, it seems pretty suspicious and phishy. I mean, I could be wrong...but this just looks weird. I've yet to receive this email either.

Just be careful with links in emails, guys. It's not hard to make this stuff look legit, when they could be trying to phish you!

Update: I also thought it was some sort of phishing scam, but I actually contacted the "help" at EA. They confirmed to me it was legit, but they wouldn't give me (or didn't know) any other details onto what they were planning or doing.

I typed in the link address instead of clicking on it. I thought it would take me to a different page or give me some explanation or insight to what was going on, but all I got was basically a "Thank you" page.

It appeared to be some sort of security update. It's good to know they still are working to update the game but unlikely it is new content or a gameplay patch.

I'm hoping I don't lose access to my game. My 360 has been giving me an E 82 error so I can't do anything with it until I can afford to get it fixed or replace.
