It's insanely easy to deny, like really really insanely easy. If you are in it, you can eventually get good enough to hold RT to block the head and be quick enough to react and put down LT when you see the knee start up.

Because distance and footwork are the primary means of defense for strikers, you shouldn't be in the pocket to have to worry about the grapple attempts. You should be just outside of it to dip in for strikes and dip out to avoid it. The clinch and take downs are not a threat at the right distance. It's easy to deny both if you're keeping your wits about you. It's designed well.

The clinch and takedowns are not a threat at any distance if you are not in a coma.

I don't support removal of the Thai Clinch entry at all, however....

I do think it would be cool if you could get an automatic Thai Clinch entry if attempted while an opponent is rocked. Also if you land a knee in this state it should AT LEAST knock the opponent down. Currently I think it can only rock people.

Why not just make it so its very very easy to move out, and that landing an elbow or knee is about timing.

It's already very very easy to block, so what you're suggesting is to just completely kill the thai clinch entirely, if you were to do that without reworking the entire clinch system.

Yeah i am advocate for changing the entire clinch system with the centre of the cage, you should be able to move out the clinch very easily. I should be close to instant entry while in the pocket of elbows and knees.

You can get both KDs and KOs from Thai clinch knees.

Only if they change the rules of real MMA to say "All Thai Plums must be worked for or attempted ONLY from Single Collar or Double under on pain of death"

But as others have said, its almost too easy to deny, I literally accidentally deny them all the time just by trying to pull back too soon after blocking and the game registers it as R2+RS up.

Denying the clinch is far too easy on this game. So easy that it should honestly have a more complex input to be honest.

That's something Nog used to do a lot when he'd rock someone - just quickly clinch them then bop em.
