Anyways, anyone used the flashback Darvish or Lester and feel like they're worth the extra stubs to buy them? Not that expensive but you can definitely use those 15-25k in stubs elsewhere (Like packs) -

Cool idea for a thread. I’ve been loving Dozier at 2B. Not the flashiest guy but he makes all the plays like he’s Robby Alomar and gets really good lift when he drives the ball
On the other side not a fan of Didi. His defense feels wrong. Has trouble making any play in the hole.

I tried putting Didi at second and his defense sucks there. I like andrelton's defense but I can't get meaningful hits with him, just weak *** singles
I didn't think I liked Lester but his live version seemed pretty good. But a one game sample size is not enough for me lolComment

Finally got to use the flashback Lester...
His pitches have good movement, but he seems too easy to get contact on. I just played this all diamond team against someone who had some of the worst plate discipline, and if I got into a favorable count, he would just keep fouling off my garbage pitches. And a lot of his hits were just singles that would just sneak by my infielders.
I think I like him but he may be no good against a diamond team that has a user who doesn't suckComment

I don't spend money on the game and I'm pretty bad at playing so it takes me ages to grind through programs.....but I think sharing my fews on these couple of players can still be useful to players of all levels.
In terms of hitting, the best 3 I've come across are:
- Bellinger, normal live series card
- Desmond, SS Nationals reward in Conquest
- Killebrew, Twins reward for team collection
They all absolutely mash and seem to always come up with a big hit or home run whenever I need it. They are always in my lineup when not grinding and even when I am I either have them in the lineup or in the bench to knock in runs when needed. I will also mention Sal Perez although I haven't used him since the very start of the game....but at that time he seemed to be the best hitter in my lineup.
In terms of pitching, I haven't used any starting pitcher enough to comment as I'm always changing based on the programs I'm trying to address. But for relief pitching the Lee Smith lower rated cards felt much higher than the rating. I've just now got the Lee Smith diamond card to do the final step in his career arc and have used it for the first time and he was great.
Smith is the career arc where I am up to the diamond. I'm close for Hanley but still need to do the exchanges when I have enough stubs....but Desmond is awesome at SS anyway. Hoping to get the Saberhagen and Sutton diamond's soon.
Hope that is useful. If you guys have used Bellinger, Killebrew & Desmond please let me know if you've had a similar experience.

Bellinger is pretty great. Right now his value's pretty high though...somewhere between 9-10k? In a few hours, we'll see if he goes diamond. If he goes diamond I don't think he'll be much more than what he is now. If he doesn't, I expect a drop.

All-Star Flashback Brett Gardner has been an absolute beast for me at the top of my lineup. Good contact and speed to burn on the base paths.
Daniel Murphy has been my best hitter. It must be his stance or something but I absolutely rake with him and he hits monster HRs all the time.Comment

The new FS Kingery card is legitimately immense, probably the best utility guy on the game. Hits line drives everywhere, serious wheels and an excellent defender. Definitely worth a bench spotComment
