How would you envision a MyPark/ProAM mode in Madden similar to 2K's mode or FIFA?

If we are giving up on Madden delivering a quality franchise, I think maybe they should embrace the online aspect even further and implement some kind of online MyPlayer. However, I think this may be a bit harder than doing it for basketball or soccer, so I wanted to hear what other people imagine.

I'm imagining some kind of NFL Street vibe for a "MyPark" theme, but not sure what to implement for a real game like ProAM or Pro Clubs. I think another difficulty would be most people wouldn't want to be Oline, but those could be CPUs.

An interactive neighborhood full of houses and decent sized backyards. You create your Avatar and are able to make friends in the neighborhood. You can choose to play tag football in the street or sandlot tackle in the yard. The more you win the more visual currency you get. You can look through East Bay and JC Penny catalogues and buy football's w/kicking tee's and football uniforms. Be the coolest in your neighborhood. Team up with friends and go to other neighborhoods and battle it out.

Lots of NFL Street inspiration. Pick up 7v7 in real life settings.

I think it would be kind of cool if Madden copied 2Ks Park/ProAm. You and a few of your friends player lock onto your MyCareer player on the same team. It would probably be limited to skill positions but I think it would do wonders for the line play. Both offense and defense. I can imagine blowing up a poor corner with a guard or tackle to spring the back.

sounds like a time long forgotten, TarHeel! kids don't still do that, do they?

i'd love a 5v5 "park" arcade mode to 3 touchdowns, shorter-thinner field, lots of customization and matchmaking that doesn't involve waiting for the previous 10 players to finish. Like MUT squads, have it to where you can choose your role and and ready up or invite your whole squad. choosing an offensive and defensive position will be key but keeping it balanced will prove difficult. dare i say archetypes with caps? but most importantly you'll need leader boards, taunts, dances/celebrations and gear. Fortnite ha$ that blueprint, u$e it.

for "pro-am" make it 7v7. add in 4 CPU o-linemen/d-linemen and make them the same ratings for everyone. bring in the rules of football, 4 quarters like MUT squads, full field, custom or NFL uniforms(practice or gameday), leader boards, taunts, team dances/celebrations and gear.

I would rather have 2K's myleague.

I commend you guys for fighting the good fight. I really do. I gave that up with Madden years ago. So much so that I don't really care what they do anymore, sadly. I'll pick the game up for around 20$ whenever and get what enjoyment I can before shelving it. Nothing substantive is gonna happen with franchise mode. At least not in the way most of us old school franchise heads would like.

It works in other games because the players in those games play both offense and defense.

How do you create a quarterback and then ask him to play defense? Tbh I always thought that concept was ridiculous, even in NFL street. Peyton Manning at linebacker was always ludicrous.

Maybe a system where one creates TWO players for each side of the ball. Or, take the CAP perspective out of it and just let users use whatever MUT superstar card they have.

I think a player for each side of the ball might be a good idea, but definitely would prefer the creativity over linking it to MUT further. I think making your own player is a huge part of that mode

I think the CAP perspective allows for more in the long run as well, anyway. Making a user start out with basic equipment, no accessories, and then creating a store where people can spend madden coins to buy those things created a revenue stream like 2K has.

Putting certain equipment, for example - Visors, behind a player rating wall that can only be achieved by grinding creates an incentive for time investment. That time investment can produce revenue through advertising. If we have to grind our players up at the park, and we also see ads every time we go to the park, there is money to be made.
