If i pick up a ps4 pro but only have a 1080p tv will i still get 60 fps? Anyone know?

Yes. You will.

60 fps mode is only available in 1080p output.
So its the default mode for HD and full-HD screens on PS4 pro.

If you had a 4K TV, you'd need to change the in-game settings to make the game render at 1080/60 as it defaults to 4K.

If you can provide any reason to get a gaming monitor other than you have a high end PC capable of more than 60 FPS or Resolution higher than 1080p I'm all hears. There is absolutely no reason to waste money on a gaming monitor on any console currently in market.

Thank you! It looks night and day better at 60 fps and ive been wanting the pro for a while now. Ill pick one up.

Well i bought it and it is ****ing amazing. The one thing i don't understand is why is the gameplay in 60 fps but the ring celebration and replay are in 30 fps. Just dumb, but for anyone thinking about upgrading, this game is silky smooth at 60 fps
