Can't believe Ozzie didn't make it.

Chicago hired a lot of people to create a lot of fake e-mail accounts on the final day of voting.

That's just the starters. I'm sure Ozzie made it.

I'm guessing Severino is going to start for the AL?

How on earth has Blake Snell not been selected? Absolute madness. I get that a lot of spots get taken up by people who don't really deserve to be there due to the "every team gets a representative rule", but even so how on earth do you miss him out with the remaining picks?

Kluber was the first one they announced on TV. And Scherzer in the NL.

However, if Chris Sale starts, he'll be the first AL pitcher to start 3 straight All-Star games since Lefty Gomez (1933-35).

I think so. At least, I think he should.

Good for Gleyber! I'm happy to see he made it.

Neck and neck if you look at their stats...

                  Javy: .294/.327/.565, 132 wRC+, 17 HR 63 RBI 16 SB, 3.1 WAR

                  Ozzie: .282/.321/.516, 123 wRC+, 18 HR 50 RBI 8 SB, 3.3 WAR

I'm glad they both made it, but I can't argue against Javy here. He's earned a starting spot.

Also, no Bryzzo But, neither of them deserved it.

Too many great pitchers in the AL IMO. I feel like Happ wouldn't have made it if the Jays had some semblance of an offense. Unfortunately, he's the only legit guy to put on the team under these rules.

Got to feel bad for Snell, Berrios and Paxton.

                      How is Paxton not deserving?

I'm sure injuries or folks pitching that Sunday will push him in but still...but if a slight.

Berrios was selected. Snell and Paxton deserved to go, but got snubbed.

I am fine with how the voting system and all that works. The fans mostly do a decent job. I'd perhaps just ask that the rosters were enlarged by 2-3 spots. Just glad that they removed that home field advantage nonsense.

Ditching Brantley for Eddie Rosario so you aren't forced to put Berrios in ahead of Snell would have made a lot more sense tbh. I'd probably have picked Cstellanos over Joe Jimenez as Detroits mandatory as well tbh, Jimenez seems a truly random choice to me

Matt Kemp an NL starter. Who would have guessed that in spring? I know none of use did here lol.

Neck and neck sure, based on merit alone you can't go wrong with either. Just more so commenting on how incredible it was that Javy somehow overcame a 100k vote deficit on the final day of voting when his 30 day average was only about 70k (22% of his entire vote tally came on the final day).
