    #Buff GSP Chin

Gsp is one of the greatest martial artist we have ever seen and in ufc 3 there’s 1 issue I have and it’s gsp chin health it’s at a 87 when he’s been ko’d 1 time in his professional career.

I would like that changed to a 90-92 in ww and mw but would be happy with 89 but buff his toughness and heart. Why do I believe gsp deserves a chin buff because if you look at the other fighters in his weight classes you will see fighters like Conor at a whooping 94 chin who got wobbled by a lw, demian Maia who is 40 years of age has a 92 chin and has been dropped plenty of times in his career, Donald cerrone has been dropped as well a lot of times and has the same chin rating as gsp.

Now on to mw in his mw debut he dropped and choked out the champ Michael bisping and in that fight he was not dropped or wobbled. But Bisping was and then finished, then bispings fight prior to gsp he got dropped twice and then his next fight after gsp he got ko’d in the first round and he has a 90 chin higher than gsp 87, Anderson Silvia at the age of 42 still has an 89 chin, Lule Rochold who is known for his glass chin has an 87 chin same as gsp but when we think about this two fighters we know gsp has a way better chin than him

My final point was going to be belfort having a 92 chin but with the most recent patch it has turned into an 85 chin this brings the question why not buff gsp chin? Hope this helps and hope to see a gsp chin buff soon!! Thanks for your time and consideration.

Conor having a 94 chin after being rocked by a lightweight is the funniest thing in this game.

GSP is already a beast i dont mind him having some vulnerabilities. His abity to mix body kicks is insane

Rockhold's "glass chin" is more his poor defense than anything. The Bisping comment isn't very genuine either when you mention he fought Henderson (who for all his flaws still hits like a truck) and Gastelum which was less than a month after fighting GSP.

Personally I have no issue with GSP's chin rating. If anything it should promote GSP's real life risk averse fight style and GSP is already a strong character in both classes. Buffing his biggest weakness could risk him going overboard.
        ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Guys please clear out gsp other stats that should not matter with his chin, look at a fighter like dj where is his weakness in the game? Oh that’s right he doesn’t have one because in real life he has no weakness same should go to the goat gsp

Too be fair we have to look at this in relation to sample size. The honest truth is GSP did not get hit much in his career. He was practically the perfect fighter for a lot of fights. The few times he did get caught his chin did waiver.

Everyone knows about the Matt Serra ko. He also was dropped by a high kick by Condit. I really can’t remember another time he was hit hard to be honest. So my argument would be when he does get hit hard he tends feel it.

I like the way GSP plays currently and do not think he needs to be changed. I honestly wonder if ol Jigsaw mains GSP? All jokes aside I vote no change.

Some of these counterpoints are quite good.
But 87 does seem damn low given he's been KO'd once. 89, to me, seems more accurate.

He survived prime Hendricks though, and a flush Condit headkick that he didn't see coming (and we all know a shot you don't see hurts 10x more) and has only been KO'd by Serra.

I don't think a big buff is needed, but 87 feels low.
Reem is like 86 (different weight I know its not a truly valid comparison)

So again. I'd like to see a small buff (88-89) but I won't be mad if it doesn't happen either.

Also wouldn’t mind buff gsp chin 88-89 but buff his heart and toughness because I do see he gets rocked barley dropped and only finished once

I think it comes down to balance. No fighter translates to a videogame in a more OP fashion than GSP. He just can’t be accurately portrayed in a videogame without being OP as hell. Think about it, he’s good everywhere. Just think of a random stat in EA UFC 3, any random stat in the game, and ask if GSP’s good in that area. The answer is yes. You could easily give GSP a 91 or higher in every category and it would be acceptable.

So it’s just a matter of lowering whatever stats can be lowered to balance gameplay (and maintain realism). Clearly the meta was taken into consideration for this (which is cool, giving him a 20 for stance switch wouldn’t really effect his effectiveness in the meta). Chin is an important stat, so lowering that actually matters. It’s not low enough to be a huge problem, but it gives him a disadvantage vs lots of guys.

His striking is nether extremely fast or powerful, his power would definitely be lower than is speed though. I wouldn't really have his striking stats all that high, especially since he's lost many standup battles (esp in his last few fights) even though his fights usually don't stay standing for long. He should just have significantly high ground ratings and health stats being his 2nd highest ratings.

Agreed some of his striking stats could be lowered, like speed and power.

But what fights did he lose the standup? He lost a brief exchange against Condit, but overall I think he’s outstruck every opponent he’s fought. He’s even outstruck the good strikers like Bisping, prime Thiago Alves and prime Hardy.

Surviving health events is more about heart. Chin is more about being unphased fro shots. Is his heart good?

I thought toughness was about surviving a health event? Heart is what recovers in between rounds.
