Yea Indians got a steal, big time.

If they resign Cody Allen in the winter, the back end of that bullpen is looking good with Cimber, Hand and Allen.

I wonder what this means for Hedges.

I like this trade. Cimber came out of nowhere and pitched well, but I think Hands value is at its peak and he's been scuffling a bit recently. Two scrap heap bullpen arm pickups for a top prospect, I'll take it.

That's a great pickup for Cleveland.

My hopes for Boston starts with a quality bullpen arm. And from there a bottom of the rotation starter. Even then I'm not sure they can afford a middle of the road guy at each spot with what they have in the minors.

Hedges sucks. I've never been a fan

I'm surprised they gave Mejia up. Must not be so high on him anymore.

Either way, you know my philosophy. Trade the unknown for the proven a thousand times out of a thousand.

You really think so? I guess both relievers are controllable, but Mejia has hit at every level and seems like the real deal. Switch hitter, can play multiple positions.

Absolutely, considering what other top closers have fetched as rentals vs Hand who has 3 more years under a cheap contract. If it was a clean swap then I'd be ok, but WE also added another solid reliever with FIVE years of control and all we got was one prospect.

I don't know. I just feel like you weren't going to get anything better from any other teams for Hand, and Adam Cimber certainly wasn't going to fetch any big time prospects by himself
