Yep that one. Taking a page out of the WWE playbook of adding in an actor to try and draw some fans from his TV show.

IIRC Amell has done some shots for ROH, also 40 dollars for this PPV is a bit much imo especially when indy companies usually charge 20-30 bucks for their shows.

I was surprised at the price point.

I know Amell is huge into wrestling and has done work before. He had a match at SummerSlam 2-3 years ago, iirc, he tagged with Neville against Cody and someone else.

It did work. I wanna see this all in show for this match. The build for it looks good. Daniels going all Marvel mode in this lol.

What makes me like this type of celebrity appearance more than others, besides the fact that he seems like a cool guy in real life, is that he is a huge fan of wrestling and takes preparation for the match seriously. Not just some guy who thinks because wrestling is fake that they can do anything in the ring and its easy.

I think the difference is, even with Wrestlemania, WWE's main goal now with their shows is to tell the stories they want to tell, get from point A to point B, and putting on a show that their audience genuinely loves is secondary. We see that with how they fight against who their audience wants to cheer for or boo, and how their matches often feel pointless.

We know that All In is going to be all about putting on a show that will leave fans thinking, "man, I got my money's worth." NJPW is like that too. WWE doesn't care as much about that on a match by match basis.
