Running the Football

First off, I love the game. Unfortunately, I have found the running game to be off. I play online. I am having difficulty running against Nickel and Dime defenses with weaker running teams. Although the Bengal's line is horrible, I should still be able to run inside the tackles for at least 4 yards per carry when the defense only has 3 down linemen. If EA is going for the best Sim experience possible, this should be adjusted. Any offense line in the NFL will dominate the run, including the Bengals, against a Nickel or Dime D.

If you’re turboing, this is why. You can’t turbo behind the line of scrimmage anymore. You have to be patient and just run normally....once you get to the same level as your lineman, then hit turbo toward where the hole is. You’ll have much more success this way. The right stick helps you navigate in traffic easier too. When you’re moving around the line of scrimmage before you turbo, push the right stick toward where you wanna go and they’ll break towards it faster then you can turbo. I’ve seen my rush average double when I learned to do this consistently.

You can't turbo in general honestly. Human controlled offensive players are slow.

This not true. NFL teams are running some form of the nickel more than ever. This is why slot cornerbacks has become a position of priority. If every NFL defense was able to run on nickel defenses there would be no reason to run a nickel defense in the first place, or to draft players like tyran Matthieu or minkah Fitzpatrick guys who are stout against the run but can also cover.

Secondly, the running seems to be 50/50 this year. Some people are having trouble some are not. I personallyhappen to think it's fine and am having success sometimes, and sometimes not . Try and be more patient and lay off of the turbo button at al costs. It's posts like this that have me scared they are going to eventually patch this game into oblivion like every other year. If your having this much trouble then try to go down a difficulty level, or playing on arcade mode if that is the type of experience you want.

Thirdly, there is already like four posts on the first page about the run game this year and posts like this can go in anyone of those threads.
