Let’s talk about the 5-Out offense in Pro-Am

Once we hit elite 3-4 and higher it seems like every team is running it. How does 2k fix this issue to make teams have a more varied play style?

I am not sure but it’s one of the main reasons I’ve stopped playing Pro-Am. It’s just too boring. I am hoping that with the improved defense, it’ll be a lot easier to play 1 on 1 defense without being blew by and also having to worry about the snatch back.

As long as it’s not as efficient, I think a lot more teams will run a regular offense. I know if players were doing this in 2K16, a lot of players would’ve been getting locked up.

Better defense and lower made contested shots will make team rethink running 5-out. When you have a PG dribbling until he gets a ankle breaker while everyone else watches is so painful to play. Death to 99 contested 3 and even 99 open 3. I have no clue what the devs were thinking when they decided on attributes.

        - Get rid of godlike shooters who can stretch the court way to far. The insane spacing these zero skill "cones" I mean sharps, allows 5. Scrap deadeye badges (why would a game REWARD contested shots) and scrap limitless badge (Curry is once a generation shooter and even he doesn't make every super long range shot).

        - Get rid of snatchback + nerf blowbys (2k19 did this already I think)

        - Beat it more often. Means having a team of good defenders

I think its just the way the games engine is now, the most efficient and effective way to succeed on this new motion engine they introduced in 2k18 is the 5 out.

too many people in this community guard players very tight than complain about blow bys...cant have it both ways. give non shooters a foot of space.

Honestly, I don't think 2k can be fixed. It plays well in instances. I feel like a league with some rules and moderation would be fun, but that'd be way too much work.

I am retired haha. Breaking news. Rip.

They can shoot 50-60%. Midrange slightly higher .

My crew stopped playing team pro am because of this. We were elite 2 or 3.

But it got boring. Felt like we were playing the same team over and over.

2k could fix a lot of this but simply adjusting the shooting badges.

High enough where you would be a fool to leave them too open.

It’s not just shooters. I feel players should be punished for spamming dribble moves.

We should just get a separate ProAM with preset builds and no badges and balanced gameplay. But that's less VC so I don't see it happening
