CPU position battles in CFM
 

In franchise do position battles in pre-season actually matter for CPU-controlled teams?

I ask this because I recently started a franchise with the Lions and played the Jets week 1 with Josh McCown as the starter.

A couple days later decided to start over because I found a set of sliders I wanted to test out so once again I play the Jets, but this time it’s Teddy Bridgewater starting. No injuries to the other QBs, but different starters each time. Not sure if I ever witnessed that in Madden. Anyone else noticing this?
