    Poor offensive line play

Even after the patch the offensive line is completely clueless on who to block. I cannot be the only one who sees this. On just about every play CPU Has unblocked defenders who completely destroyed the play. Most of the time my offensive linemen just stand there and watch or block for a nano second, as the cpu defender runs past to make a tackle.
On the other side of the ball CPU offensive line play is much different. My defenders Hardly ever have a free open tackle, seems cpu holds blocks longer.

I haven't had any issues in All Madden. I run for around 100 a game throw for high 200 to low 300. Biggest things are using slide protection, making sure you have enough blockers in, stepping into the pocket and ID'ing the free blitzer.

I wish I knew how to send videos to the website because I’m sitting here right now watching a replay of a linebacker who drops into coverage then blitzes right past two offensive linemen who ignore the blitz. And these guys are both rated in the mid 90s.

If he had enough time to drop into coverage, then blitz you are holding the ball way too long. There is a counter in the game that basically the lineman degrade as the play goes on to simulate NFL type pocket times.

It feels worse post patch to be honest. Prior to the patch I was having no problems being patient. I was even one of the big proponents in the "resemblance of a running game" thread. I am seeing way more Insta sheds and guys dropping into coverage but somehow getting five yards into the back field untouched in the blink of an eye after 1.07. This patch did so many things to the game I just don't like to be honest

I understand that. But holding the ball to long isn't what makes my offensive limemen blind to rushing defenders.

I'm really digging when my center snaps the ball and then spazzes out in his stance for like 3 seconds before actually blocking while the DT runs right past him. Really adds to the realism of playing as the Broncos.

It actually is, basically after a certain counter the lineman don't exist much at all from a blocking stand point, including not reacting to rushers.

exactly...it seems alot of ppl are making excuses for EA with the poor blocking in this game. ive played every madden since 92 on genesis except 18. ive never seen blocking this bad in recent games. running plays getting blown up from the backside cuz the LT lets a free guy run in.

Ive seen running plays blown up by these 2 issues:

How do u say ID how many blockers u have when

                    1) u have enough and your LT and LG double team a guy on the back end unnecessarily while the end rusher runs in free and blows up the running play at handoff due to this.

                    OR

                    2) the backend LT runs straight to the 2nd level at snap and ignores the end rusher DE/OLB on the line to allow him to run in free untouched once again blowing up the play at handoff. this one is really baffling...ive NEVER seen this behavior.

im sorry but u cant tell me something isnt wrong with the blocking programming. especially number 2 scenario. LT thinks im gonna ignore the immediate threat next to me and shoot to the 2nd level LB immediately?? the play cant even get to the 2nd level because of this decision. ive done a bunch of replays when i get blown up. its not usually good Dline play at the line. its oline play like this...unnecessary double teams with T and G and T shooting straight into 2nd level LB ignoring the DE/OLB on the line.
                    Lets Go:
                    Seahawks
                    Bengals
                    ----------------------

You probably really dig it(me neither)
when a 73 overall dt spilts a double team tween center 90 and guard 93 to drop running back with 4 yard loss.

I will certainly look out for this. I only played one game post-patch-- it was against the Panthers. Luke Kuechly was doing some ridiculous stuff... flying around the field, shedding blocks... I wished I recorded how he managed to slip between two blockers through a foot-long gap.

I figured it happened because it was Luke Keuchly.

Line play (interaction between offensive and defensive lineman) Is just not done well overall. It has a few good interactions but other than its not great. The ability to shift and move around rushing defenders is very little to non existent.

The "pocket timer" to me is a gimmicky quick fix for poor line interaction that's not being addressed and we have no control over.

Right now most of the time the pocket timer seems a lot like playing a game of red rover. Once the timer expires its somebody's turn to break free and suck the qb into a sack at an unnaturally high speed.

I have zero problems with pressure. I love close spaces in the pocket that forces the qb to shift and move around. I think its a thing of beauty. Right now Madden emulates it extremely poorly and has for awhile.

To be honest NCAA 14 had better line interaction on pass plays. Im not sure whats holding the progress up as far as this is concerned with Madden, but Im pretty sure its not Clints knowledge of line play. Maybe it has to do with time, resources, permission from decision makers, bad code....I don't know. I do know that if Line interaction isn't improved with dline push, closer spaces, and no warping or "warp sheds" Madden will always be just "meh."

This is the biggest issue in my opinion next to lack of good working sliders that control specific areas of the game without effecting others. If Clint cant seem to tune line play right with all the tools he and the gameplay team have, I doubt well be seeing a good set of our own to play with any time soon.
