Face mask penalty

Has anyone seen this penalty called? I wonder if they removed this as well as defensive holding due to the competitive crowd wanting it gone?

I remember seeing this penalty the first day or two I had the game. But it isn't called often.

I’ve seen a couple people post that they think the 8/21/18 patch removed it.

I have the slider at 75 and I have still yet to see one.

In last year’s game I would put the slider at 53 and get 1-3 EACH GAME.

So I'm curious, what's the point of SIM game style if penalties and other sim aspects are removed for all game styles?

have my slider at 98 i get them 1 or 2 tops if its called

Yeah, it's still there....I've seen it at 50 a couple of times this patch.


I think what is happening is that a lot of the over-the-top "plow into you" tackling animations are triggering versus the wrap-up type animations....those wrap-up animations being where the facemask calls can occur.


There are ways to mitigate this issue....

I think it just gave them a new feature to list on the back to sell more copies the year it was introduced.

Kind of like when Dominos “changed their recipe” a few years back. It tricked a couple suckers into giving their pizza one more shot, only to realize it was the same old flavorless disc. Now they have an app where you can “track your pizza” as it is made and then delivered. It’s just another gimmic to trick you into buying the same lousy product.

There will be new “features” next year, but it will largely be the same flavorless disc.

If I had a monopoly I would sell flavorless discs too.

I got a facemask penalty in a game last night, so it's definitely still there. First facemask I've seen though all season in my CFM and I just got to the playoffs.

Its definitely still in the game. I have them all the time with slider adjustments.
