Can you not move DE before the snap now?

I skipped M17 and M18, but bought this year (custom draft classes got me). In M16 (and every previous M that I can recall), I could move my user-controlled DE around. In M19, I can slide left or right a bit, but can't move him. Is this new? I only play offline franchise, so if this was a change to prevent some online thing, that would be incredibly annoying.

Maybe to the other side, maybe behind or between the DTs. Just not sure why I can no longer move forward or back. Heck, I cannot even jump offsides anymore (not that I want to, but shouldn’t that be a danger of trying to jump the snap?)

Jumping to offsite seems to be totally random. I really tried to jump forward by pressing down+A but nothing happend. And sometimes, without touching the controlls, the player steps forward.

Pretty sure it's been like that to prevent people from spamming offsides online for a while now

Thanks, I figured that might be it. But, like I said, I never play online, so not sure why that needed to be disabled from the offline game.

Just wanted to make sure you understood I am not saying this shouldn't be disabled from online play. But, since I don't play online, I'd like to be able to move my DE if I want.

They don't really design two games though, one for online and one for offline. If it's disabled for online then it will be for offline too

It's been like this for a couple cycles now. You can't move the player back off the line in part due to people taking DT such as Vince Wilfork and covering offensive players. You can still jump off sides with the right trigger or R2 button. Players that don't have their hand in the grass can be moved freely including walking offsides.
