    Running the ball

Is it possible to run the ball most of the time and still win with the next gen Madden? I'm a fan of 70's football and have the running game and defense win every week.

Yea just practice with the one cut mechanic a lot to get comfortable. I’ve broken big off gains in the run game. The best concepts imo are the Toss, stretch/OZ (singleback or iform) , and inside zone (from gun) Power works with the right look or if you don’t have a good back and want to manufacture run lanes. Trap is ok, wham works on occasion but it’s a little funky.

Related to this. Does anyone have any tips on passing the ball on All-Madden?? My offense is just stifled. If I can't run I'm doomed.

If you have a good reciving back work in table routes. Even man/hard flats will struggle with alignment and match ups. Also use quick hitting stuff like slants or stick and start low pointing more. These help keep the rush/coverage at bay.

It also helps to have a formation that lets you attack the defensive front in multiple spots. You can devote some audibles to the run game and be ready for anything. The best scheme I've found this year is SB Trio (Jets, Run Heavy). The dive, stretch, and inside zone work so well together.

Yeah, if you have a good OL and are prepared to call outside stretch runs (better chance of getting big plays) while keeping a stable of good backs.
