Trillz brief UFC 4 improvement list

stand up game

- Leg kicks need a change in how it works, there should be a threshold of damage of which it affects movement, just like how someone is tired there should be a leg hobble animation for the fighter when his leg is hurting from constant leg kicks, or reduce the footwork stats as his legs get hurt.

- Different type of rocks, there needs to be a buzz rock (stamina doesnt drop) where a fighter gets rocked but still has his wits and can still throw shots/takedowns at normal speed but still is in danger of it becoming worse if he gets caught again, The type of rock we have now is good. (any other type of rocks u can think of except death rock?)

- Cage strikes added back again for unique strikes for certain characters that has done them but make them more realisitic compared to ufc 2.

- Add parries back again for straight strikes, front kicks to head and body, jab, straights. it shouldnt mean instant counters from them but it will need expirimenting, but it should be classed as a blocked strike that drains stamina.

- please seperate kick & punch, arm/leg, power/ speed etc

- More unique gameplay additions to characters

- Make move levels more proficient, in how the animation of the technique plays out etc.

Grappling Ground & takedowns

-The improvements in patches for takedowns has been great with the ankle pick, double leg against cage etc.

- Make posturing up freely but it still can be denied but used more as a pre denial, it should be free flowing to go up and down from postured up and down.

- minor transitions

- Pull guard in clinch to full guard

- move head in bottom position, maybe it could be a 3 space striking spacing. for instance a weave will dodge a straight down the middle, a hook will catch you harder if your head is swayed in that position but does less damage.

Submissons and clinch system

-Both need a revamp for UFC 4 for more of a interactive experience/ change

Game modes

-Universe mode

-Dont make career mode scripted make it more like UNdisuputed 3, more interaction with skills, training etc. Longer cutscenes.

-Improve practice/tutorial mode, for instance do defensive/attackive positions that are common in the game, like the cage td animation you added alot of people dont know the denials so make that a scenerio scene so people can learn the denials for both attacking and defending.

- Another change of UT make it a mix of UFC 2 and UFC 3, take the good points from both and add them together. (make it about create a character again)

- Online tournaments every 2 wks/a month on the weekends, This could be for ranked which will give UT rewards and tournaments in UT for different UT rewards. Change them up like B class fighters only make it 1-2 weight classes to reduce waiting times, etc.

I hope they purely focus on the ground game again. It really needs the level of attention that it got in UFC 2. Add way more positions. I like the idea of utilizing the D pad to give us more transition options from each position. Holding a certain direction on the D pad can open up a whole new set of transitions that are available.

Some of those transition options should be smaller transitions like fighting for an underhook in bottom half guard which can lead to a new series of positions. Smaller transitions from rubber guard, give us most of the Eddie bravo system available at our fingertips.

Yh i agree but i think EA is scared to make it too complex as it will scare off new customers, also people are used to this system.

I think it’s a way to expand the current system, keeping it intact and adding onto it. You’re right though, EA is too scared to make it more complex bc of the “stand n bang bro” crowd.

Too bad, because I think it would just give those of us that know what we’re doing more options. Maybe it would also give new customers more of a reason to be interested in the ground game, something to learn. Maybe toss the newbs some more get up options from the ground; for example, utilizing a sweep from butterfly guard to get back to the feet.
