    Hey NHL Community,

We just wanted to start this thread off by saying thank you for your participation and feedback on the current gameplay tuner! We received a lot of feedback that we are currently collecting, as well as collecting your responses in the forums. As we reach the final stages of the Beta tuner rollback, the current gameplay tuner survey will close Wednesday, January 16th @ 3 PM PT.

    BETA TUNER DETAILS
    • WHEN: Friday, January 18th at 02:00 AM PT until Friday, January 25th at 02:00 AM PT*
    • WHERE: All Online Modes (Offline users can switch back to it through settings; explained below)
    • WHAT TUNER WILL THIS BE: Tuner 1.00 from the NHL 19 Beta that was released on August 2nd

*UPDATE: Ahead of the tuner deployment, we encountered server deployment issues while doing final preparations for tonight's update. We are hoping to have it resolved tomorrow and live on Friday at 2 AM and will update on its status tomorrow.

We apologize for the delay and any inconvenience this may have caused
    .

Once the tuner is live, a Gameplay Tuner update will be downloaded that will revert the tuner update changes for online modes.

    HOW TO PROVIDE FEEDBACK
On Friday, January 18th at 2 PM PT, we will be releasing the Beta Tuner Feedback Survey. You will be able to find a link to it in-game, on our Twitter, and in this thread when it goes live. The survey will be available until Thursday, January 24th at 02:00 PM PT.

As a reminder, you are only able to complete the survey once. Please be sure you've played an adequate number of games until you submit your feedback, as you will not be able to resubmit or change your answers after you have submitted it.

Additionally, in the Beta Tuner survey, we will also be providing an additional field to leave any additional comments regarding the Beta Tuner. You can also leave your feedback in this thread, or on social media by tweeting at myself (@TheFlopFish) or the EA SPORTS NHL account (@EASPORTSNHL).

LINK TO FEEDBACK SURVEY: Will be provided January 18th @ 2 PM PT.

    FAQ

Q: What will have changed with the tuner rollback for online modes?
A: All changes in the NHL 19 Tuner Notes Master List will be reverted in all online modes.

Q: How can I rollback to the Beta Tuner for Offline Modes?
A: For offline modes, you can rollback to the Beta tuner by doing the following steps:
    1. From the home menu, scroll down to All Modes
    2. Go to "Settings"
    3. Go to "Gameplay Sliders"
    4. Under General, go to "Gameplay Version" and switch it to v1.00

NOTE: Offline users will revert back to the September 1st Tuner update.

Q: Why do offline users have to manually change it?
A: We wanted to provide ability to allow offline users to continue using their preferred tuner in offline modes. This also provides with the opportunity to change back and play on the current tuner in offline modes to compare and contrast if you desire.

Q: Why are you doing this?
    A: Find out why here

Q: What will happen after the Beta Tuner rollback is over?
A: Once the Beta Tuner rollback is over, the gameplay tuner will revert to the same one before the rollback (v1.3)

Q: When will you action on the feedback?
A: After the Beta tuner is over, we will be utilizing the feedback we received from the original Beta survey, the current gameplay survey, and the Beta Tuner Rollback survey. From there, we will utilize your feedback to help guide the next NHL 19 tuner update.

Re: BETA TUNER DETAILS + FEEDBACK THREAD (UPDATED: DELAYED TIL 17th)

I played a versus game this morning and a ones game with the new (old) tuner.

        Breathe of fresh air.

Skating is more fluid. Stick lifts back to being effective (needs to be toned down just a notch). Playing positional defense is back, you can play the body without having to body check and cause turnovers, puck battles etc. Poke checking could use a small bump up a notch. But honestly if they let it be I’m fine with it.

This tuner forces guys to kind of play well hockey.

My favorite part about the beta and it’s tuner was the positional defense. Square up on a guy with the left trigger and you can battle for a puck and or force a turnover. That went away with the updates.

If they can sprinkle in the fixes from other tuners but leave the base like this that would be fantastic.

The other fantastic thing would me is to drop this game into the vault right now on Xbox, drop price to like 10 bucks elsewhere and get people to somehow to start playing this online. Lol. Because it’s a ghost town. Ha.

Guys don’t forget, it’s NOT The Beta Game, it’s only the Beta Tuner!!!

4 NHL Patches are now included!

The Beta Game was without any Patches!

Well, this post alone has be seriously thinking about picking it up now. I've skipped it (first time in 10+ years, maybe longer).

The Beta has been the best iteration of EA NHL games for the past couple years (for whatever reason) before changing in a rollercoaster fashion for the worst. Been dying to get my hockey fix , so hopefully I can be part of the resurgence project [emoji16]

Hmmm? I enjoyed the beta, might have to pick this up when it goes on sale again.

I was ready to buy it today, assuming it'd have come down in price to some affect... still $60 lol. Think I will be waiting, but I'm definitely more intrigued than I've been.

Played one game on v1.00 and it was definitely much better. Beat Boston 3-0 but it was Binnington that kept us in the game.

Game did seem much tighter, puck seemed more lively and the game flow was much more like hockey.

Just one game, so I'll get a few more in this weekend.

What is the difference between the Sept 1 tuner and the 1.00 tuner that has always been an option in the gameplay version tuner selection? And what 1.00 tuner did the online players go back to if they're not using the Sept 1 tuner?
I'm also confused. When it said download latest tuner, I downloaded 1.03, even though I already had 1.03. Was this normal? Also, is 1.00 the same as the Beta tuner?

1.03 is unchanged. 1.00 is the one that was modified in this update, and yes - it's the beta tuner.

Mine said I downloaded v1.03 as well but my guess is it's the actual v1.00 BETA tuner, just make sure to change it under settings, game play sliders, general and then game play version -> v1.00.

Rah can you play wit these with sliders already done or do you have to create sliders from scratch cause id love to use some sliders already done also i agree with the defence alot easier to play defence but i also found i was getting way too many shots...

                            What the point???

Q: What will happen after the Beta Tuner rollback is over?
A: Once the Beta Tuner rollback is over, the gameplay tuner will revert to the same one before the rollback (v1.3)

So it may play the way you want for a few days or weeks, then they will take it away.

I've invested a lot of time getting the tuner correct to 1.01,...no thanks...
If they would have said they are bringing it back and not taking it away, then I would use it and give feedback. It's already January,...by late May or June, hockey is over and we are waiting for the next years release.
