When was the last time you started a dynasty as a DC?

I remember doing this in an older NCAA and having fun (mostly because the defense was so overpowered when you played as just a DC that you would lead the league in picks and fumbles every year and just dominate), but I distinctly remember trying to do it in 14 and finding it boring.

Much like when you are an OC your defense or special teams has a tendency to screw you late in close games by giving up a KR TD or long TD, part of me feels like I remember your offense just always completely sucking in super sims while playing only defense.

Been flirting with the idea again, but I have the feeling that I'll just get bored and end up abandoning the dynasty.

If I'm playing a coordinator position, I never supersim the other side of the ball, I always hit the right bumper to watch the play on the field.

I've read people saying their offense is even more incompetent when doing that.

But also, part of the benefit of being a coordinator is getting through games quicker. I'd rather not have to watch half of the game without playing it

It’s more fun watching the plays. Create a playbook so u can see the variety of play-calling.

I’ve never started as a DC. If I do a coordinator, it’s always the OC. I think the defense is broken lol

Doing one as a DC now, link in sig.
Year 1 at EMU was terrible, offense averaged under 11 ppg.

Will keep my eye on it. Reading through and seeing your OT loss, I assume that you sim the offense rather than watching?

I know some people claim watching the offense usually will make them perform better but I also read in a thread plenty of people saying watching the plays was even worse. Then you're actually watching the CPU be incompetent instead of just seeing it in text form.

I'm still on the fence about it. Hope to see what you can do at ULL. I'm sure part of the problem with simmed offense is most people start at a bad school so the offense never does anything because they are rated so low

I simmed almost all the offense, was trying to move things along and get the hell out of EMU ha ha! ULL is far more talented on offense so we'll see what we get for results there, may try watching some to see what happens. If the Cajuns offense sucks I'll be looking for a head coaching gig ASAP!!

Playing as a coordinator is so flawed. The SIM factor is too off that I lose the immersion.
