    CFM Free Agency Question

Year 2 of a CFM in Madden.

Miles Jack is a free agent. I offer him a boat load of money. I am easily the "highest rated" offer he has.

Yet, he signs with the team who was #2 on his list.

Same with Shaq Griffin. I was his number one offer, yet he signed with #2 team on his list.

Trying to figure out why? I thought it was a simple, be #1 on his list, then get the player.

Is it scheme? Neither fit my team's scheme.

Thanks for taking the time to reply...

Sometimes the AI ups the money. Sometimes they just don't want to sign with you. Players don't always sign for the most money. It's annoying I know.

I always offer a minimum of 5 points more than the next competitor. That gives me a 100% success rate

This. It's almost always that when you sim to the next week, the computer offers more. I've had to go as high as 10 points higher in previous versions of Madden. Keeps it a little more "realistic".

There are also coaching upgrades that help with FA signings for each position.
