I know that generally speaking this is not the most pro-MUT site, and I haven’t played MUT since 15. However, I liked the idea of chemistry and coach chemistry/boosts. Would be cool to see a coach like Sean Peyton add +3 to Deep Acc, or BB add +3 to DEF AWR. That’s a way coaches could impact teams. Not sure if that’s the real point of this thread, and of course it would always be nicer with coordinators but that’s a whole different story.......

Agreed. Madden 12 had coordinators that each had his own specific player position boosting traits assigned to him. While it only had a minimal impact, it did actually make somewhat of a difference. I was impressed that this feature wasn't simply a gimmick and was actually thought through to the point of it adding a bit of immersion to franchise mode.

Lol, Madden is a garbage game. Every team feels the exact same.

More concerned on how EA will affect Madden in 2020.

Just like playbooks and schemes nevers in matter. CPU calls play the same way essentially(outside of run/pass%) and "makes adjustments" the same regardless of coach or team.

I foresee many bans coming from responses to this post lol.

I will say this...as constructively as possible without being condescending upon the devs as best as possible.

until madden overhauls playbooks and schemes (not using the same plays over and over and just calling them different names like zona cross, texans cross, packers cross etc etc)

until madden gets coaching schemes and playbooks fully working where we dont have cpu spamming verts or sticks all the time.

until madden gets actual coaching adjustments to us available in the game besides tackling and coverage and catching...im talking real adjustments that coaches make in the game.

until madden gets coordinators and assistants in the game (real or fake at this point) that have a real impact on your team

until madden gets a "coaching carousel" in the offseason and midseason firings

Until madden brings in pretty much every single aspect of head coach 09 into their franchise mode..

coaching will continue to unfortunately have 0 impact and mean nothing in the game, whether its for the user or the cpu.

they have the tools available. they have the code written from head coach. import it and make some fine tunes and tweaks and honestly the sim community will be so happy.

give us the tools to tweak things and help us find our own enjoyable franchise experience that can cater to different desires.

please clint, someone...anyone...give us head coach 09 in our franchise.

Re: How Will the NFL's Newest Head Coaches Affect Their Teams in Madden NFL 20

                  Dude, you totally nailed it.

I'm made many threads/posts regarding my disdain for psychic defense. I've also suggested that if EA absolutely feel that psychic defense HAS to be in the game, let it be tied to how "good" the opposing coach/coordinator is.

When I play against Belechick, he 'predicts' your plays 15% of the time (or 80... I really don't care, you get the point) and when I play against Rich Kotite, he 'predicts' your plays 1% of the time (only old school Eagles and Jets fans will get the Kotite reference but who cares?)

The point is this is one of the ways EA can really make it FEEL different when you play against the AI. But every game is the same. I had to resort to creating like 20 different slider settings as a means to make each game feel different.

Interesting article which summarizes team schemes. Would like to see more team schemes in Madden..

I just came to say that I frickin love that uniform combo for my Broncos.  That glorious old-school D logo and the excessive amounts of orange (can't get enough).  They should abolish the monstrosity that is the "all-blue" late-90s uniforms to the trash heap and roll with these as their alternate uniform.

I would much rather prefer coaches had an effect on player development. Eliminate EXP from achievements, and make it depend only on playing time, practice, and coach.

Also I would prefer if the head coach actually affected play calling by the CPU.
