Yeah, I already pre-ordered the digital through Gamestop, trade-in values for some old games were too good to pass up. I have a feeling that even though the Franchise additions are a bit underwhelming that the gameplay changes and hopefully a better budgeting AI will make this one of their best efforts yet.

And who knows - I may even play a little RTTS and March to October. DD - not happening.

I'm anticipating this weekend in the typical long Beach spots but I can't make it this year. If anyone from San Diego goes up let me know

Yeah my spot is in Long Beach as well. And typically gets it the Thursday or Friday before. I'm trying to get it early this year so I can help the CRP roster guys determine who are missing this year on the base roster.

No they do not.

Something seems backwards about that. So, I make an early commitment to buy the game and some joe schmoe happens upon a game that has been released early and gets to buy it from a store? If people are going to get the game early, it seems like those who make the pre-order commitment should be rewarded.

The stores aren't allowed to do that. You have to know someone. They get the games a few days before release date and they sit boxed until that date, except.....if you know somebody.

You are rewarded. When you pre-order you get all kinds of free stuff for diamond dynasty. Typically the mom and pop stores who get it early don't give it pre-order codes. I am not a diamond dynasty guy so I do not care about pre-order codes. Also, in this retail climate I am glad there are mom and pops that can get an advantage over the large corporations like Walmart, GameStop, and Best Buy by releasing a game slightly early.

Plus let's just say that SDS decided to do an early release for pre-order like they did last year. Typically most stores will get the game about 2 days in advance of release. Those mom and pops would probably Be giving the game out the Tuesday/Wednesday before the Friday release. So either way you would be getting the game a couple of days after those who have a hook up. I would recommend you check your area for mom and pop game shops and see if any of them will sell you the game early. It's better to support local small business over the large corporate retailers anyway,

Lol I’m thinking the same thing. Called them today and they asked my name and phone number an should be calling me by Friday for pick up hopefully gonna be a great weekend

My name may or may not be on that list as well lol.

Luckily for me, I'm the boss so I can come and go as I please. They usually call around 1 PM the last couple of years. That's probably when their UPS stops by. Just a heads up.
