Being it is an EA game, it is going to be online focused. EA put out that mandate a few years ago that all EA games have to be online focused.

And loot box/microtransaction heavy.

I can see how this will play out. We'll see gameplay footage, fans will get hyped thinking, "this is the story based Star Wars game we've been waiting for this gen," then close to release we find out about the mobile game elements, and everyone will be disappointed again, realizing (again) video games are never going to be the single player experience that they used to be.

Unfortunately, would love to have a Knights of the Old Republic style game on current gen consoles.

Would love to see this be a great open world single player adventure. That would make it very difficult to make it "gaming as a service" as EA likes to do though.

It's a new star wars game though. So while my expectations are pretty low given the parent company I will hold out hope until official information confirms anything negative.
