So I went last night and made some changes to my PC Set UP for Madden 20

I had the Asus Strix 2080ti
16gb of GSKILL RAM
LG 4K monitor 60hz

Went to MicroCenter and returned the Strix GPU and got the monster MSI Gaming Trio 2080ti. One of the nicest looking cards I ever seen

Went and got 4 sticks of Corsair 3200hz DDR3 Ram for 32gb total

I already have the I9 9900K CPU

Returned my LG 4K monitor and got the Asus 165hz IPS Gsync model 1440p

Went from doing ultra 4k at 60 with some dips here and there on camera cuts

To

1440p and constant 145 to 165hz and 165hz during gameplay locked

Amazing the fluidity of the game now

I feel so poor looking at these other set ups, and yet the game still looks good and runs fine on my hand me down set up. Makes me feel like they are nerfing the game for PC in the interest of platform parity. A maxed out Witcher 3 makes me lose frames, but Madden still runs fine.

my early retirement present for myself was a new pc after 8+ years with the old one. i7- 9700k 3.6ghz, 64 gb ram, fast ssd boot, 2 multiple tb hard drives and a 1070ti thingy with 8gb iirc. what was nice was the free upgrade to 220+mbs cable from virgin . wasnt cheap but you only retire once

That is definitely overkill for Madden lol. I'm going back and forth between 1080p with all ultra settings and 4K slightly toned down to see what I like better. I'm honestly not seeing much of a difference between the two.

Nope, at least not with Madden. I don't know if my TV just does a good job upscaling or what, but I really don't see much of a difference.

If you are running with Ultra settings at 1080P and at 4K both then if your TV up-scales the picture well you will have to look closely to see the sharpness increase but it should be obvious.

Also 4K TV's you need to make sure you are not sitting too far back or the human eye can't see the difference in resolution as well. There is a whole formula for it on a few websites around the internet. I sit about 8ft away from my 65". Even then if I watch something on normal TV that is 1080p I don't have to wear my glasses normally but if I play a 4k game or watch a UHD movie or something I always put my glasses on or I can't see the nice details of 4K as well, it is that much sharper.
