Are RPO Alerts out of a shotgun set working for anyone online? I can run alerts from under center no problem, but no matter what I do out of shotgun the QB always gives it to the RB. I went to the skills trainer thinking I was doing something wrong, but I wasn't. I pulled them off just fine in the drill, but they will not work online for me.

I have found some out of shotgun where I pull and throw too quick and it hits my HB in the head as he crosses my face. I definitely haven't had any issues throwing the ball though on any Alerts.Follow me on Twitter @T4VertsComment

I was out of town until yesterday so I just started playing it. I will say in my short time with the game so far I haven't had any issues. I made it a point to run a lot of RPOs to get a feel for them with them being new to the game, including alert RPOs out of shotgun formations.

Yup that's the point of the RPO alert, make the decision to run or pass based off of your pre snap read. As a general rule if you have the advantage with the hat count run it, otherwise throw it. Obviously there are always exceptions to the rule, but that is generally your read. Peaks and reads are based off of post snap reads, usually based on what you see from a key LB.
I personally have not had any issues, I've been able to run RPO alert plays out of the shotgun pretty succesfully. It sounds like others may be having issues that they believe are based on their internet connection.

yeah they work fine for me. I've been running a ton of them out of the Arizona book. There is one rpo read bubble play where if you flip the play, you literally cannot hand the ball off because the A/X button receiver is the one on the bubble and that's the button to hand it off so it won't work. It's one of the gun trips formations in the Arizona books. Kinda annoying, but every other rpo works perfectly for me that I've tried.Comment

Are you double-tapping / mashing the receiver button to get the ball out quickly? Because that's pump fake now, and will result in your QB aborting the handoff but holding on to the ball.
I've had no issues running RPO Alert / Bubble online or offline. Haven't tried Peek yet because conceptually I don't have that one down yet.Comment
