Play the Moments (Madden 20)
 

For those that play the game this way, are most of your games close? I’ve played my last 5 CFM games (2022 season) using PtM the way EA has it set (w/ fast SIM speed) and every one of those games has had one side or the other come back and finish close.

Coincidence or are others seeing the same?

Thats how supersim has been setup for the past few maddens. Idk, if it ever worked right before but it always plays out that way unless you get a 3 score lead. Then, it results in a blowout or they come back but never win. That can change tho if you fail to put up points on multiple possessions.

I post this then play my game against NE and find myself on the wrong side of a game that wasn’t close. We lost 10-41 and drop to 6-6 on the season. SMH

Followed that with a game that was a blowout in my favor (30-6 w/ 9:31 to play) until the sim engine gave CHI 2 TD and 2 2pt Conv to make the final score 30-22.

Thats just how it is. Until the suits think its an issue then the devs will leave it broken. I dont know how the numbers look in terms of users who play QB1 but slow mode sim played wayyyyyy more realistic. If we could have slow mode instead of normal or fast sim. then it would change the game imo. No reason thinking theyll address it until everyone is playing the mode n throwing tweets and fits at the devs enough.

When i get burnt out of gashing the cpu or after the real life season is over, i usually play cpu vs cpu in slow mode. It's enjoyable and makes building your team and watching it play out organically much more fun. Madden is what it is rn

Despite that, I love Madden 20 and the only thing I really need addressed is the wonky pass coverage. Play the moments has been a complete game changer. Wish I’d played it more in the earlier games. I really just got into it with Madden 19.

So you actually like PTM in M20?

I used it M18 and M19 a lot, but I think I've read somewhere around here that this year it's broken.

I like it just fine. Just posted this thread to ask about close games then the very next game I was beaten into submission by NE.
