What was they thinking with 2k20 sound track? It's hot garbage.

Just the way it tends to be these days.

I personally miss the days of the indie and underground but I figure it's a testament to the brand's success. They've been able to afford to go big and popular, which is what a lot of people want.

Knowing that doesn't make the soundtrack any better sounding to me, but I guess I've just resigned myself to the reality. I try to cut out the tracks I really don't like as early as I can but the give-and-take is that just leaves a smaller amount of tracks I only mostly don't like, which leads to more repetition.

Best answer for us is probably just muting and playing our own music if we're spending a lot of time in the menus (roster editing, for instance).

Mute Gameplay music, turn on PS4 Spotify, Select custom playlist or radio. Problem solved

I miss the old school NBA Live soundtracks from the 90’s. Lol! Loved those instrumental tracks.

The only problem is you cant really disable soundtrack without muting gameplay sounds in park/neighbourhood. Just makes park experience that bit of more awful.

I thought it was solid. Better than the last couple of years anyways. I'm not sure about any of the lyrics being any good, but the beats were straight.

Also i heard a while back that they would be updating the playlist throughout the year. Was that confirmed?

Like others have said, I typically play my own music or even a podcast. This year, though, they said they will be adding music throughout the year so at least there will be some variance in the music, I guess

I think there's enough music on the game that you can turn off anything you don't like. I usually end up with 12/15 songs still on by the time December rolls around.

Between that and the other suggestions in the thread, I think it's more than obvious that "NBA 2k20 soundtrack is horrible and needs to be changed" is an overreaction.

Aside from Motley Crue I don't really know anybody so I'll have to reserve judgment for now but 2k18 and 19 were terrible. I'm not much of a rap fan at all but sometimes they do have some decent artists. Stuff like Matisyahu, The Strokes, Stokeswood, The Moth and The Flame, Failsafe, etc.
