So what happened to this game since the beta?

Im trying to figure out where this "amazing" experience went from beta to release....

I think its time to start taking aim at all these so called "content creators" because this game has got to be in the worst shape since ive personally seen in a long while.....

The amount of bugs and glitches and just straight up superhuman 1 handed batman ziptie gliding flipflopping plays being made right now is insane....

EA servers? They seem like they have been downsized...Constant connection lost issues, huge dsync problems and overall lag....

The hitstick animations look like a 4 year old made them through a power point... Half the time they dont even look like anything and BOOM, fumble...or the best ones, where they try to chase you down from behind, and somehow manage to hitstick you for a fumble.... i love those.

Overall, this has been the messiest and inconsistent product ive bought in 3 years now, which was when i bought the previous madden...

So again, i think its time to start calling these people out who have been writing articles and making videos about this game having amazing features and being very good when its pretty clear at this point that this game never left alpha stage and probably the reason why there are so many problems.

This is partly your fault, I don’t blame the reviewers or the influencers, blame the company who makes the game, no one forces of any of us to buy the game, it’s been the same game for the past couple of years, shame on you for thinking this year would be any different.

Did you play the beta? If so, what specific differences are you seeing?

This is one of my favorite maddens in recent years. I suggest PC version and following the PC forum to get all the mods that are necessary.

I'm on PS4, and I'll say that this is the first Madden on this console generation I've thoroughly enjoyed without having to "grit my teeth" through certain aspects of the game.

I just tried for 10 h with 7 days free trial with origin access on pc, and I can't believe people spend over 60$ in this game what a joke, with pc mods the game improves a lot but still almost unplayable as a sim gameplay player, ton of fumbles, defenders reaction is awful, maybe for the guys who play with card is fun for me not at this moment,
just two clip from my first game at madden

                Nice blatant over exaggeration.

Ok, so now that we've established you have no idea what "alpha stage" means as it relates to the software development cycle, and have no experience with any actual alpha software...

Did that rant at least make you feel better?

I've always wondered why people feel the need to exaggerate to such a ridiculous degree. It's like they have a list of complaints and you really want people to listen to and understand them...but then decide that "absurd" is absolutely the best possible delivery to achieve that.

My working theory is "frustration release", but it never seems to happen that they get it out of their system, calm down, and start discussing their critiques in a rational manner.

So, did this help clear away any of that frustration?

I dont agree totally with the OP but the game felt about the same from the beta until the August update. EA needs to put a "Early Access" label on their games if we still get the same game on release day that we got during the beta.

Definitely an exaggeration but I get what he is saying.

Re: So what happened to this game since the beta?

I understand that people would feel it didn't change much from beta to street date, but they did take the beta game feedback and provide updates to the release on Origin and EA Access and a game day title update.

Realistically, the beta in mid June won't undertake major changes(scenero and FOTF were not in the beta) when you have a early August release date.(7 weeks from release date plus figure 4 weeks before street date the game goes gold. So, basically about 3 weeks to work out some kinks from beta)

Same trash gameplay as the beta. Madden can’t get the basic rules of football right. No defensive PI and ncaa 1 foot in catch rule.

The best life lesson I could teach anyone would be to let the first shock pass and then cope with the issue. Take the emotion out of the equation and you will make better decisions and also be able to more clearly communicate.

There are legitimate issues in this game, and from the BETA, that do still need attention. If we present those concerns in a clear and constructive way, it may bring enough attention to those areas to bring about change, if enough people hop on board and express similar concerns.

Never played the beta. I liked the game on release. But now w/ the last update, it feels like M19. It's not just EA who does this. Every company needs to release updates that hurt the original concept of the game. I understand you have to release updates for bug fixes, but for other things that break core gameplay, it's frustrating.

I'm fairly certain they are working on those(not sure which ones they are working on) and going through some certification processes in house and with MS/PS.

I think we should see a title update in early Sept ish. It would be nice before the season opener.
