Auto cuts?
 

Every week I’m down to 52/53 players. I look and every week a player is auto dropped. I looked in league settings and I had everything set to “manual”

What’s going on here?

I was playing a game in CFM as the browns and realized on the ticker somehow Higgins was dropped and was playing for Green Bay. I never did that. He was just all the sudden on the packers apparently.

Is auto-fill roster on? It's one of the options at the very bottom and not included in the manual options. Not sure if this would affect it, but it's the only other ai-related option

It may be automatically cutting a player because of the salary cap. This happened to me even though I had auto fill set to off. I forgot to move guys to the practice squad manually before I advanced. So the situation is slightly different to yours, but I was really close to the salary cap limit when it did that so I am guessing that is what is happening to you.

They also automatically add players to your practice squad if there are open spots even when you have auto fill set to off.

I've had similar things happen , sometimes the CPU seems to simply get its arithmetic wrong , try counting manually your active players , it may be saying you have 52 when you actually have 53 , if not it may get resolved during the off season

I think injured players may not be counted as an active player

If they are on IR they won't count. If they are just injured but not on IR, then they will still count.
